Smart Technology Telemetry
Set low voltage alarm to 3.45v/cell minimum. (In reference to page 9 of the manual)
Nose Skid
A nose skid is included which can be installed in place of the nose gear to help protect the aircraft during belly landings on hard surfaces.
Trim
Note: The elevator and elevon neutral points shown on page 7 of the instruction manual are for flying WITHOUT the landing gear installed. Flight performance is noticeably better without the landing gear installed (due to less weight and drag).
Procedure: Always trim for neutral in AS3X mode without applying power to the motors, so AS3X is not active. Neutral and flight trim will change when flying with the landing gear installed. The elevator halves should be aligned with the edge of the fuselage. Use a straight edge to align the elevons with the elevators. Diagram: Illustrates the tail section of the aircraft. Labels include 'Elevon', 'Elevator', 'Edge of fuselage', and 'Straight Edge'. The visual shows the elevator halves aligned flush with the fuselage edge. A straight edge is depicted aligning the elevon with the elevator. Lengthen the control linkages to raise the elevator halves and elevon neutral point 0.5mm, measured from the trailing edge of the elevator to the edge of the fuselage. Use a straight edge to align the elevons with the elevators. Diagram: Shows the tail section with labels 'Elevon', 'Elevator', and 'Fuselage edge'. The visual depicts the elevators and elevons trimmed upwards by 0.5mm, measured from the trailing edge of the elevator to the fuselage edge.Trim Without Landing Gear
Trim With Landing Gear
Ensure both sides of the aircraft are at the same trim position before flight.
