Step 2: Attach Right Upright
Make sure that the power cord is unplugged. Remove the tie securing the Upright Wire (88) to the front of the Base (97). Identify the Right Upright (86). Have a second person hold the Right Upright near the Base (97).
Diagram Description: An inset drawing shows how to tie the wire tie (A) in the Right Upright (86) securely around the end of the Upright Wire (88). Insert the Upright Wire into the lower end of the Right Upright, and pull the upper end of the wire tie until the Wire Harness is routed through the Right Upright.
Step 3: Secure Ground Wire
Lay the Right Upright (86) near the Base (97). Press the Grommet (89) into the square hole (B) in the Right Upright. Make sure not to pinch the ground wire (C). Remove and discard the indicated screw (D). Attach the ground wire to the Right Upright (86) with a #8 x 1/2" Ground Screw (9).
Step 4: Attach Uprights to Base
Hold the Right Upright (86) against the Base (97), ensuring not to pinch the Upright Wire (88). Insert two 3/8" x 2 3/8" Screws (3) with two 3/8" Star Washers (11) into the top of the bracket on the Right Upright (86). Partially tighten these screws into the Base (97). Then, partially tighten a 3/8" x 1 1/4" Screw (1) and a 3/8" x 1 3/4" Screw (2) with 3/8" Star Washers (11) into the bottom of the Right Upright (86). Do not fully tighten the screws yet. Attach the Left Upright (not shown) in the same way. Note: There are no wires on the left side.
Step 5: Attach Base Covers
Remove and save the four 5/16" x 3/4" Screws (8). Identify the Left and Right Base Covers (93, 92). Slide the Left and Right Base Covers onto the Left and Right Uprights (85, 86) as shown.
Step 6: Attach Handrails
Identify the Left and Right Handrails (80, 81). Attach the Right Handrail (81) to the Right Upright (86) using two 5/16" x 2 1/4" Screws (7) and two 5/16" Star Washers (12). Start both screws and then tighten them, ensuring not to pinch the Upright Wire (88). Attach the Left Handrail (80) to the Left Upright (85) similarly. Note: There are no wires on the left side. Remove and discard indicated screws (E).
Step 7: Attach Console Trays
Set the console assembly (F) face down on a soft surface. Attach the Right and Left Trays (99, 98) with eight #8 x 1/2" Screws (5); start all eight screws and then tighten them. Do not overtighten. Remove and save four 1/4" x 1/2" Screws (24).
Step 8: Connect Upright Wire
With the help of a second person, hold the console assembly (F) near the Right Upright (86). Insert the Upright Wire (88) through the indicated looped tie (G). Connect the Upright Wire (88) to the wire (H) from the console assembly (F). The connectors should slide together easily and snap into place; if not, turn one connector and try again. Remove any wire ties (A) from the Upright Wire (88).
Step 9: Attach Console Assembly
Set the console assembly (F) on the Right and Left Handrails (81, 80), being careful not to pinch any wires. Attach the console assembly (F) using the four 1/4" x 1/2" Screws (24) and four 1/4" Star Washers (10); start all four screws and then tighten them. Insert the excess Upright Wire (88) into the Right Upright (86). Tighten the tie (G) around the Upright Wire and cut off the end.
Step 10: Attach Crossbar
IMPORTANT: To avoid damaging the Crossbar (87), do not use power tools and do not overtighten the #10 x 3/4" Screws (6). Attach the Crossbar (87) to the Handrails (80, 81) with four #10 x 3/4" Screws (6) and four 1/4" Star Washers (10); start all four screws and then tighten them.
Step 11: Attach Handrail Covers
Identify the Right Handrail Cover (79). Set it on the Right Handrail (81) and slide it forward until it rests against the console assembly (F). Hold the Right Bottom Handrail Cover (83) on the bottom of the Right Handrail (81) and start four #8 x 3/4" Screws (4) into it; start all four screws and then tighten them. Attach the Left Handrail Cover (78) and the Left Bottom Handrail Cover (82) in the same way.
Step 12: Attach Upright Crossbar
Carefully slide the Upright Crossbar (40) between the Left and Right Uprights (85, 86). Attach the Upright Crossbar with the four 5/16" x 3/4" Screws (8) and four 5/16" Star Washers (12); start all four screws and then tighten them.
Step 13: Raise Frame and Attach Latch Crossbar
Note: If the treadmill is assembled on a smooth surface, it may roll forward during this step. Raise the Frame (60) to the upright position. IMPORTANT: Do not raise the Frame past the vertical position. Have a second person hold the Frame until step 14 is completed. Remove the two 5/16" x 3/4" Screws (8) from the Latch Crossbar (31). Orient the Latch Crossbar (31) as shown, ensuring the "This side toward belt" sticker (I) faces the treadmill. Attach the Latch Crossbar to the brackets (J) on the Frame (60) with the two 5/16" x 3/4" Screws (8) and two 5/16" Star Washers (12).
Step 14: Attach Storage Latch (Lower)
Remove the 5/16" Nut (39) and the 5/16" x 1 3/4" Bolt (28) from the bracket on the Base (97). Orient the Storage Latch (35) as shown. Attach the lower end of the Storage Latch (35) to the bracket on the Base (97) with the 5/16" x 1 3/4" Bolt (28) and the 5/16" Nut (39). Raise the Storage Latch (35) to a vertical position and remove the tie (K).
Step 15: Attach Storage Latch (Upper)
Remove the 5/16" Nut (39) and the 5/16" x 2 1/4" Bolt (29) from the bracket on the Latch Crossbar (31). Align the upper end of the Storage Latch (35) with the bracket on the Latch Crossbar (31), and insert the 5/16" x 2 1/4" Bolt (29) through the bracket and the Storage Latch. This will push a spacer (L) out of the Storage Latch; discard the spacer. Tighten the 5/16" Nut (39) onto the 5/16" x 2 1/4" Bolt (29). Do not overtighten the Nut, as the Storage Latch (35) must be able to pivot. Then, lower the Frame (60) (see HOW TO LOWER THE TREADMILL FOR USE on page 27).
Step 16: Tighten Screws and Attach Base Covers
Firmly tighten the four 3/8" x 2 3/8" Screws (3), the two 3/8" x 1 1/4" Screws (1), and the two 3/8" x 1 3/4" Screws (2). Set the Left Inner Base Cover (95) onto the lower end of the Left Upright (85), then slide the Left Base Cover (93) downward and press it onto the Left Inner Base Cover. Set the Right Inner Base Cover (94) onto the lower end of the Right Upright (86), then slide the Right Base Cover (92) downward and press it onto the Right Inner Base Cover.
Step 17: Final Checks
Make sure that all parts are properly tightened before using the treadmill. Remove any plastic sheets from the treadmill decals. To protect the floor or carpet, place a mat under the treadmill. To avoid damage to the console, keep the treadmill out of direct sunlight. Keep the included hex keys in a secure place; one hex key is used to adjust the walking belt (see pages 29 and 30). Note: Extra hardware may be included.
HOW TO USE THE TREADMILL
HOW TO PLUG IN THE POWER CORD
This product must be earthed. Earthing provides a path of least resistance for electric current to reduce the risk of electric shock. The power cord has an equipment-earthing conductor and an earthing plug. IMPORTANT: If the power cord is damaged, it must be replaced with a manufacturer-recommended power cord.
DANGER: Improper connection of the equipment-earthing conductor can result in an increased risk of electric shock. Consult a qualified electrician or serviceman if you are in doubt about proper earthing. Do not modify the plug; if it does not fit the outlet, have a proper outlet installed by a qualified electrician.
Follow the steps below to plug in the power cord:
- Plug the indicated end of the power cord (A) into the socket (B) on the treadmill.
- Plug the power cord into an appropriate outlet (C) that is properly installed and earthed in accordance with all local codes and ordinances.

- Place one foot against a wheel and carefully lower the treadmill.
HOW TO LOWER THE TREADMILL FOR USE
- Push the upper end of the frame forward and gently press the upper part of the storage latch with your foot simultaneously.
- While pressing the latch, pull the upper end of the frame toward yourself.
- Step back and let the frame lower to the floor.
MAINTENANCE AND TROUBLESHOOTING
MAINTENANCE
Regular maintenance ensures optimal performance and reduces wear. Inspect and tighten all parts each time the treadmill is used. Replace worn parts immediately.
Clean the treadmill regularly and keep the walking belt clean and dry. First, press the power switch to the off position and unplug the power cord. Wipe exterior parts with a damp cloth and mild soap. IMPORTANT: Do not spray liquids directly onto the treadmill. Keep liquids away from the console. Thoroughly dry with a soft towel.
TROUBLESHOOTING
Most treadmill problems can be solved by following the steps below. Find your symptom and follow the listed steps. For further assistance, see the front cover of this manual.
SYMPTOM: The power does not turn on
- Make sure the power cord is plugged into a properly earthed outlet (see page 16). If an extension cord is needed, use only a 3-conductor, 14-gauge (2 mm²) cord no longer than 5 ft. (1.5 m).
- After plugging in the power cord, ensure the key is inserted into the console.
- Check the power switch on the treadmill frame near the power cord. If the switch protrudes (A), it has tripped. To reset, wait five minutes and press the switch back in (B).
SYMPTOM: The power turns off during use
- Check the power switch (see drawing above). If tripped, wait five minutes and press it back in.
- Ensure the power cord is plugged in. If it is, unplug it, wait five minutes, and plug it back in.
- Remove the key from the console and reinsert it.
- If the treadmill still does not run, see the front cover of this manual.
SYMPTOM: The incline of the treadmill does not change correctly
See step 6 on page 24 to calibrate the incline system.
SYMPTOM: The displays of the console do not function properly
Remove the key and UNPLUG THE POWER CORD. Remove the five #8 x 3/4" Screws (4) and carefully pivot off the Motor Hood (65).
Next, locate the Reed Switch (102) and the Magnet (104) on the left side of the Pulley (53). Turn the Pulley until the Magnet aligns with the Reed Switch. Ensure the gap between the Magnet and Reed Switch is about 3 mm (1/8 in.). If necessary, loosen the #8 x 3/4" Screw (4), slightly move the Reed Switch, and retighten the Screw. Reattach the Motor Hood (65) and walk on the treadmill for a few minutes to check speed reading.
SYMPTOM: The walking belt slows when walked on
- If an extension cord is needed, use only a 3-conductor, 14-gauge (2 mm²) cord no longer than 5 ft. (1.5 m).
- If the walking belt is overtightened, performance may decrease and the belt may be damaged. Remove the key and UNPLUG THE POWER CORD. Using the hex key, turn both idler roller screws (C) counterclockwise 1/4 turn. When properly tightened, you should be able to lift each edge of the walking belt 2 to 3 in. (5 to 7 cm) off the platform. Keep the belt centered. Plug in the cord, insert the key, and walk for a few minutes. Repeat until properly tightened.
- Your treadmill has a walking belt coated with high-performance lubricant. IMPORTANT: Never apply silicone spray or other substances unless instructed by an authorized service representative, as they can deteriorate the belt and cause wear. If more lubricant is suspected, see the front cover of this manual.
- If the walking belt still slows when walked on, see the front cover of this manual.
SYMPTOM: The walking belt is not centered between the foot rails
IMPORTANT: If the walking belt rubs against the foot rails (D), it may be damaged. Remove the key and UNPLUG THE POWER CORD. If the belt has shifted left, turn the left idler roller screw clockwise 1/2 turn. If it has shifted right, turn the left idler roller screw counterclockwise 1/2 turn. Be careful not to overtighten. Plug in the cord, insert the key, and walk for a few minutes. Repeat until the belt is centered.
SYMPTOM: The walking belt slips when walked on
- First, remove the key and UNPLUG THE POWER CORD. Using the hex key, turn both idler roller screws clockwise 1/4 turn. When properly tightened, you should be able to lift each edge of the walking belt 2 to 3 in. (5 to 7 cm) off the platform. Keep the belt centered. Plug in the cord, insert the key, and walk for a few minutes. Repeat until properly tightened.
SYMPTOM: The displays of the console do not function properly
If the console does not boot up or freezes, reset it to factory default settings. IMPORTANT: This erases custom settings. Resetting requires two people. Turn off the power switch. Locate the small reset opening (D) on the console's right side. Using a bent paper clip (E), press and hold the reset button. Have a second person press the power switch to the 'on' (reset) position. Continue holding the reset button (D) until the console turns on. The console will turn off and then on again. If not, use the power switch to turn it off and on. Check for firmware updates after the console turns on (see step 5 on page 24).
SYMPTOM: The treadmill will not connect to the wireless network
- Ensure wireless settings on the console are correct (see page 25).
- Ensure your wireless network settings are correct.

EXERCISE GUIDELINES
WARNING: Before beginning any exercise program, consult your physician. This is especially important for persons over age 35 or persons with pre-existing health problems.
These guidelines help plan your exercise program. For detailed information, obtain a reputable book or consult your physician. Proper nutrition and adequate rest are essential for successful results.
EXERCISE INTENSITY
Exercising at the proper intensity is key to achieving results, whether your goal is to burn fat or strengthen your cardiovascular system. Use your heart rate as a guide.
The chart below shows recommended heart rates for fat burning and aerobic exercise. Find your age at the bottom (rounded to the nearest ten years). The three numbers above your age define your "training zone": lowest for fat burning, middle for maximum fat burning, and highest for aerobic exercise.
Burning Fat
To burn fat effectively, exercise at a low intensity for a sustained period. Initially, the body uses carbohydrate calories; after a few minutes, it uses stored fat calories. For fat burning, adjust intensity until your heart rate is near the lowest number in your training zone. For maximum fat burning, aim for the middle number.
Aerobic Exercise
To strengthen your cardiovascular system, perform aerobic exercise (activity requiring large oxygen amounts for prolonged periods). Adjust intensity until your heart rate is near the highest number in your training zone.
HOW TO MEASURE YOUR HEART RATE
Exercise for at least four minutes. Stop, place two fingers on your wrist, count heartbeats for six seconds, and multiply by 10. (Example: 14 beats x 10 = 140 bpm).
WORKOUT GUIDELINES
- Warming Up: 5-10 minutes of stretching and light exercise to increase body temperature, heart rate, and circulation.
- Training Zone Exercise: 20-30 minutes with heart rate in your training zone. (Limit to 20 minutes in the first few weeks). Breathe regularly and deeply; never hold your breath.
- Cooling Down: 5-10 minutes of stretching to increase muscle flexibility and prevent post-exercise problems.
EXERCISE FREQUENCY
To maintain or improve condition, complete three workouts weekly with at least one rest day between. After a few months, you may increase to five workouts weekly. Make exercise a regular, enjoyable part of your life.
SUGGESTED STRETCHES
The correct form for basic stretches is shown. Move slowly; never bounce.
- Toe Touch Stretch: Stand with knees slightly bent, bend forward from hips. Relax back and shoulders, reach towards toes. Hold for 15 counts, relax. Repeat 3 times. Stretches: Hamstrings, back of knees, back.
- Hamstring Stretch: Sit with one leg extended. Bring opposite foot sole to inner thigh of extended leg. Reach towards toes. Hold for 15 counts, relax. Repeat 3 times per leg. Stretches: Hamstrings, lower back, groin.
- Calf/Achilles Stretch: One leg forward, hands against a wall. Keep back leg straight, back foot flat. Bend front leg, lean forward, hips toward wall. Hold for 15 counts, relax. Repeat 3 times per leg. For more stretch, bend back leg. Stretches: Calves, achilles tendons, ankles.
- Quadriceps Stretch: With one hand on a wall for balance, reach back and grasp one foot. Bring heel as close to buttocks as possible. Hold for 15 counts, relax. Repeat 3 times per leg. Stretches: Quadriceps, hip muscles.
- Inner Thigh Stretch: Sit with soles of feet together, knees outward. Pull feet toward groin area as far as possible. Hold for 15 counts, relax. Repeat 3 times. Stretches: Quadriceps, hip muscles.
