What Remote Will Work with My Challenger Garage Door Operator?

Wayne-Dalton Wizard WD2113/2115 Operators

For the built-in receiver for the Wayne-Dalton Wizard WD2113/2115 operators, there are two possible radio systems.

• If the color of the control board's code setting switches (located in the lower left corner of the back of the motor unit) is green, you can use any of the Multi-Code 300 MHz transmitters with the unit.
• If the board is tan, you will need the Martec transmitters (not manufactured by Linear).

Challenger 9300M/9500M Series Operators

For the built-in receiver for the 9300M/9500M series operators, you will need the MVP transmitter in 318 MHz (part number 190-110925).

Other Challenger Operators

All other Challenger operators, including the CH1000 series, the 9100/9300/9500 series, and the AC9300/AC9500 series, used an external receiver. To determine the correct remote for your unit, you will need to know the model number and frequency of the external receiver. This information should be available on the bottom of the receiver itself, typically mounted with three screws on the back of the operator in your garage.

Important Confirmation

All Challenger operators, including the WD2113/2115 series and the 9300M/9500M operators, have provisions for the installation of an external receiver. Therefore, you should confirm whether you are using the built-in receiver or an external receiver before ordering remotes for these units.
