The SMEDSTORP is a versatile sofa that can be configured as a sofa with a chaise longue. Please follow these instructions carefully to ensure correct assembly.

Assembly Steps

Follow the steps below for assembly. Ensure you have all parts before beginning.

Step 1: Prepare Base Frame

Attach the base frame components to the main sofa structure. Ensure correct orientation of parts. Use 2x 100274 bolts and 2x 100854 washers. ? Ensure you are using the correct bolt (100274) and not the longer bolt (10075380).

Step 2: Attach Legs to Base Frame

Attach the legs to the prepared base frame. Use 4x SKF001 screws and the 100092 Allen key. 4x [person] shown attaching legs.

Step 3: Attach Leg Caps

Attach the protective caps or washers to the bottom of the legs. Use 4x 115309 washers/caps.

Step 4: Attach Connecting Brackets (Main Frame)

Attach the connecting brackets to the main sofa frame. Use 2x 106877 screws and 2x 150022 brackets. ? Ensure the brackets are oriented correctly; ❌ incorrect orientation is shown.

Step 5: Attach Additional Connecting Brackets (Main Frame)

Attach further connecting brackets to the main sofa frame. Use 2x 106877 screws and 2x 150022 brackets. ? Ensure correct orientation; ❌ incorrect orientation is shown.

Step 6: Attach Base Support

Attach the base support structure to the main frame. Use 4x 10047226 bolts.

Step 7: Insert Mattress Support

Step 8: Secure Mattress Support

Secure the mattress support using 4x 10047226 bolts and 4x 194377 connectors.

Step 9: Attach Side Panel

Step 10: Attach Base Frame to Side Panel

Connect the base frame to the attached side panel. Use 2x 100274 bolts and 2x 100854 washers. ? Ensure you are using the correct bolt (100274) and not the longer bolt (10075380).

Step 11: Attach Legs to Chaise Section

Assemble the chaise longue section by attaching its legs. Use 2x SKF001 screws and the 100092 Allen key. 2x [person] shown attaching legs.

Step 12: Attach Leg Caps to Chaise Legs

Attach the protective caps or washers to the bottom of the chaise legs. Use 2x 115309 washers/caps.

Step 13: Place Chaise Seat Cushion

Step 14: Secure Chaise Seat Cushion

Step 15: Attach Rear Support to Chaise

Attach the rear support structure to the chaise section. Use 2x 10075380 bolts and 2x 100854 washers.

Step 16: Connect Main Sofa Section to Chaise

Prepare to connect the main sofa section to the chaise section. The two sections are brought together.

Step 17: Attach Connecting Brackets (Sofa Section)

Step 18: Join Sofa Sections
