Setup and Installation
Charging the unit
Before use, recharge the jackbox using either the Power Adaptor or connecting it to a computer's USB port with the USB charging cord.
Pairing with a Bluetooth® Device
- Turn the 1216BKBT unit on by touching the ON/OFF icon for 3 seconds. The Bluetooth® and Power/Charge LEDs will light up briefly. The Bluetooth® LED will then flash red/blue, and the Power/Charge LED will turn off.
- Turn on Bluetooth® on your device (iPhone, Android, laptop). Refer to your device's user manual for instructions.
- Scan for devices and look for "Califone1216BT". Pair your device.

- Power ON: Bluetooth® LED - ON (blue), Power/Charge LED - ON (green)
- Pairing: Bluetooth® LED - Flashes red/blue, Power/Charge LED - OFF

- Streaming: Bluetooth® LED - 2 continuous flashes (blue), Power/Charge LED - ON (green)

Operation
Once synced, the Bluetooth® LED will flash 3 times continuously. When audio streaming begins, the Power/Charge LED will turn green. Bluetooth® range is 30 Feet.
Volume control
Adjust the volume using the individual volume control knobs on the jackbox.
Pause/play
Touch the Pause/Play icon for 2 seconds to activate pause/play functions. The Power/Charge LED will remain on for a few seconds, then turn off.
Auto Shut-Off
The 1216BKBT will automatically turn off after 6 minutes if left idling without pairing.
Line-In
Connect non-Bluetooth audio devices (boomboxes, CD players) to the Line-In jack using the provided 6' patch cord. The Power/Charge LED will light green. The Line-In connection is prioritized over the Bluetooth® connection.
Daisy chain
A 3.5mm jack on the side allows daisy-chaining to another Bluetooth® jackbox or any non-Bluetooth jackbox for additional listeners.
Note: When pairing multiple jackboxes in the same area, it is recommended to do so one at a time to avoid connecting to nearby jackboxes.

Warranty Registration
Califone warrants this product to be free from defective material and workmanship for one year from the purchase date. The "Product Intercept" Customer Satisfaction program will replace defective parts and repair malfunctioning equipment under warranty when defects occur under normal use.
Unpacking and Shipping Claims
Inspect the unit and carton for any signs of damage immediately upon receipt. Save all packaging materials. Notify the freight carrier immediately of any damage to the shipping carton or product. Repack the unit and await inspection by the carrier's claim agent. Notify your dealer of the pending freight claim.
Returning for Service or Repairs
Contact the dealer or Califone Service Department at (800) 722-0500 to obtain a Return Authorization number. Write the RA clearly on the shipping box and ship the unit prepaid. Collect shipments will be refused. Do not ship any unit to the factory without prior authorization and instructions.
