Leveling Procedure
Proper leveling ensures accurate prints. Follow these steps:
Step 1: Prepare the Build Plate
Remove the resin tank. Lock the screw knob (5) of the build plate. Loosen the four fixing screws (1, 3, 2, 4) until the build plate moves freely.
Step 2: Initial Z-axis Zeroing
Place a leveling card between the build plate and the LCD screen. On the screen, navigate to Tool > Manual and click "Move Z axis to zero" ▶️. After the printer stops moving, press the top of the build plate with one hand and lock the four fixing screws (1, 3, 2, 4) with the other hand.
Step 3: Fine-tune Leveling
Gently pull the leveling card. If there is slight resistance, proceed to Step 5. If there is no resistance, use the Z-axis "down" button ⬇️ (0.1mm increments) until slight resistance is felt. If there is too much resistance, use the Z-axis "up" button ⬆️ (0.1mm increments) until slight resistance is felt.
Step 4: Set Z=0
Return to the previous menu, click "Set Z=0" ⚙️, and confirm the action. This sets the new initial height for the first printing layer.
Step 5: Raise the Build Plate
Go back to the "Manual" page and use the Z-axis "up" button ⬆️ to raise the build plate by approximately 100mm.
Step 6: Test LCD and LED
Remove the leveling card. Navigate to Tool ? > Exposure ? > Text. The LCD screen should display "ELEGOO TECHNOLOGY www.elegoo.com". If it does, the leveling is complete, and the printer is ready for resin tank installation and printing.
Test Printing
1. Model Printing:
Plug the USB air purifier into the USB port. Slowly add resin to the resin tank, ensuring it does not exceed the MAX line. Cover the printer, insert the U disk, and select the pre-sliced test model for printing.
2. Model Processing:
After printing, wait for resin to stop dripping from the build plate. Loosen the screw knob to remove the build plate. Use a scraper ? to remove the model. Post-processing can be done using ELEGOO's cleaning and curing machine.
Software Installation and Setup
The printer supports Chitu Box and Voxeldance Tango slicing software, available on the USB drive. This guide uses Chitu Box as an example.
1. Install Chitu Box:
Select the appropriate version from the USB flash drive and install it on your computer.
2. How to Use Chitu Box:
Launch Chitu Box. Click "File > Open File" ? to load your 3D model (.stl). Use left-click to rotate, zoom (mouse wheel), and pan the model. Right-click allows viewing from different perspectives.
3. Chitu Box Settings:
3.1 Machine Configuration Parameters:
In "Parameter Settings" ⚙️, select "ELEGOO Saturn 3 Ultra" as your default printer.
3.2 Build Volume:
Default parameters usually do not require changes. 'X' indicates the maximum print size along the X-axis.
3.3 Resin Parameter:
Resin Density: Typically 1.1g/ml. Resin Cost: Input the cost of your resin; the software calculates model printing costs.
3.4 Parameters:
- Layer Height: Thickness of each layer (0.01-0.2mm, recommended 0.05mm). Higher thickness requires longer exposure.
- Number of Bottom Layers: Initial printing layers (default 2). Exposure time for these layers is set to the bottom layer exposure time.
- Exposure Time: Time for normal printing layers (default 2.5s). Thicker layers need longer exposure.

4. Save the Model:
After setting parameters, click "Slice" ?. Once slicing is complete, click "Save" to export the file to a U Disk. Insert the U Disk into the printer to start printing.
WiFi Module Instructions
1. Connect WiFi Antenna:
Ensure the WiFi antenna is securely screwed clockwise into the designated port on the machine.
2. Connect to WiFi Network:
Navigate to Settings ⚙️ > WiFi ?. The printer will scan for networks. Select your desired WiFi, enter the password, and click "Confirm" ✔️ to connect.
3. Network Sending:
Ensure your computer running slicing software is on the same WiFi network. After slicing a model, click "Network Sending". The software will search for the printer. Select your printer by name or IP address, click "Send", and the file will transfer. Printing can begin once the transfer is complete.
4. Firmware Upgrade:
Local Upgrade: Download the firmware file to a U Disk. Insert the U Disk into the printer. Go to System ⚙️ > Version Upgrade ⬆️ and select "LNW Upgrade". Choose the firmware version to upgrade.
Network Upgrade: Currently unavailable, please stay tuned.
Machine Maintenance
- Avoid using sharp tools to scrape the resin tank to protect the release liner film.
- Clean the resin tank before changing resin colors.
- Clean the build plate with paper towels or alcohol before and after printing to remove residue.
- Perform daily checks on the machine's exterior and mechanical parts for any damage or abnormalities before each printing session.
- Maintain a printing environment temperature of 25-30°C and ensure good ventilation to aid heat dissipation and resin odor control.
- If the Z-axis makes friction noise, apply lubricant to the lead screw every 2-3 months, increasing frequency with usage.
- If the printer is unused for over 48 hours, pour remaining resin back into the bottle and seal it. Filter any residue.
- Inspect the release film for looseness, scratches, or whitening before each print. Replace it every 1-2 months or more frequently based on usage.
- Be careful when removing the printing platform to avoid damaging the LCD screen. Clean the screen daily. Unplug the machine after printing. Replace the screen if performance is affected.
Warranty Statement
- The ELEGOO printer comes with a 1-year free warranty service from the purchase date, excluding consumables like the LCD screen and release film.
- The LCD screen has a 6-month free warranty service.
- The warranty does not cover issues arising from self-disassembly, improper use, or normal wear and tear of the machine housing.
