Important Safety Instructions
Read and follow all instructions carefully before installing and using the Filter Pump. These guidelines address common risks but cannot cover all situations. Always use caution, common sense, and good judgment.
WARNING
- Electric installations must comply with national wiring rules.
- The pump requires supply from an isolating transformer or a residual current device (RCD) with a rated residual operating current not exceeding 30 mA.
- The pump must not be used while people are inside the pool.
- The supply cord is non-replaceable; if damaged, the appliance must be scrapped.
- This appliance is not intended for use by persons (including children) with reduced physical, sensory, or mental capabilities, or lack of experience, unless supervised or instructed by a responsible person. Children must be supervised to ensure they do not play with the appliance.

Technical Safety Instructions
- The appliance must be supplied by an earthed power source.
- Extension cords are not permitted.
- Do not bury the cord. Position it to avoid damage from lawn mowers, hedge trimmers, and other equipment.
- This pump is for use with storable pools only, not permanently-installed pools.
- Using the pump with an unmatched electrical supply is dangerous and can lead to pump failure.
- When working with electricity, turn off power at the circuit breaker and lock the breaker door to prevent accidental re-energization, which could result in shock, injury, or death.
- Do not remove the grounding prong or modify the plug. Consult a qualified electrician for grounding questions.
- Handle the pump with care; do not pull or carry it by the power cord. Never pull the plug by yanking the cord. Keep the cord free from abrasions, sharp objects, oil, moving parts, and heat.
- Read instructions before each use and installation/reassembly.
- Cleaning and user maintenance must be performed by an adult over 18 years old familiar with electrical risks.
- Ensure the plug is accessible after pool installation.
- Atmospheric conditions can affect pump performance and lifespan. Shelter the pump from extreme cold, heat, and sun exposure when possible.
- Ensure factory-equipped stopper plugs replace inlet and outlet screens before removal or maintenance.
- Do not add chemicals directly into the filter pump.
- Do not plug or unplug the appliance with wet hands.
- Always unplug the appliance: on rainy days, before cleaning or maintenance, and when leaving it unattended.
- When not in use for extended periods (e.g., winter), disassemble and store the pool set indoors.
- This product is not intended for commercial use.
SAVE THESE INSTRUCTIONS
Attaching a Base
According to IEC60335-2-41 TEST standard, the filter pump must be vertically fixed on the ground or a base made of wood or concrete. The base requires two 9mm diameter holes spaced 163mm apart. The pump is attached using bolts and nuts. All base parts should weigh at least 18kg to prevent accidental falling.
Setup
Check List
Verify all included parts against the part list in this manual. If any parts are damaged or missing at the time of purchase, visit bestwaycorp.com/support.
Choose the Correct Location
Place the Filter Pump on solid, level ground at the same level as the pool base. Positioning the pump higher or lower than the pool base can compromise its performance and lifespan. The area must have adequate drainage and easy access for maintenance. Never place the pump where water may accumulate.
Installation
Refer to the illustration steps inside the manual for installation instructions. Drawings are for illustration purposes only and may not reflect the actual product. Bestway is not responsible for damage caused by mishandling or failure to follow these instructions.
- Ensure hydraulic connectors are not obstructed.
- Do not dry run the Filter Pump. Ensure both the pool's inlet and outlet valves are fully covered by water before operating the pump.
Maintenance
- Ensure the Filter Pump is unplugged before any maintenance.
- Refer to illustration steps inside the manual for detailed maintenance instructions.
- To optimize performance and for sanitary reasons, replace the filter cartridge every two weeks.
Storage
- Remove all accessories. Ensure the Filter Pump, hoses, and debris screens are completely clean and dry before storage to prevent mold.
- Before storage, remove and dispose of the filter cartridge.
- Disassemble the Filter Pump if the environment temperature is below 10°C / 50°F.
- Store the Filter Pump in a dry place with moderate temperatures between 10°C / 50°F and 38°C / 100°F.

Installation and Operation Diagrams
The following describes the visual steps shown in the diagrams for installation and priming.
Diagram 1.1 & 1.2: Connecting Hoses to Pool and Pump
These diagrams illustrate connecting the hoses to the pool's inlet and outlet valves (labeled A and B) and to the filter pump. For V1, use hose connectors (6) and clamps (10). For V2, use hose adapters (9) and O-rings (14) along with connectors (6) and clamps (10). The diagrams show securing the connections, often with multiple clamps (e.g., x4 or x5).
Diagram 1.3 & 1.4: Initial Pump Setup and Priming (V1/V2)
These steps detail the initial setup and priming process.
- Attach the pump lid (1) and housing lid (2) to the pump housing (4).
- Ensure the pump is positioned correctly.
- Prime the pump by turning the lid clockwise until it stops (indicated by a [1 minute timer] ⏱️ 1 min and [rotate symbol] ?). This step is crucial for filling the pump with water.
- Connect the [power plug] ?. The diagram shows a pump with a power plug and indicator lights, suggesting it's ready for operation after priming.
Diagram 2.1 & 2.2: Connecting Hoses to Pool and Pump (Alternative/V2 focus)
Similar to 1.1/1.2, these diagrams show connecting hoses to the pool valves (A and B) and the pump. Diagram 2.2 emphasizes securing the connections, possibly with multiple clamps (x5 shown). This might be a more detailed view or specific to V2.
Diagram 2.3 & 2.4: Pump Priming and Operation (V1/V2)
These steps describe the priming and operation sequence.
- Attach the pump lid (1) and housing lid (2).
- Ensure the pump is correctly positioned.
