Yamaha RX-A3040/RX-A2040 AV Receiver Quick Setup Guide
This guide provides essential steps for connecting and setting up your Yamaha AV Receiver. For comprehensive details, please consult the Owner's Manual provided on the CD-ROM or available for download at yamaha.com.
Included Accessories and Required Cables
The following items are included with your unit:

Speaker Placement
Arrange your speakers in the room according to the following diagram:

Connecting Speakers and Subwoofer
Connect your speakers and subwoofer to the unit's speaker terminals.

- When connecting 6-ohm speakers, set the unit's speaker impedance to "6 Ω MIN". Refer to the Owner's Manual for details.
- Before connecting speakers, unplug the unit's power cable from the AC outlet and turn off the subwoofer.
- Ensure speaker cable cores do not touch each other or the unit's metal parts to prevent damage. A short circuit will trigger a "Check SP Wires" message on the front display.
Connecting External Devices (HDMI)
Connect your audio/video sources like TVs and Blu-ray players using HDMI.

Connecting to a Router for Wired Network Connection
Establish a wired network connection by connecting the unit to your router.

Connecting the Wireless Antenna
