Assembly Instructions

Congratulations on your purchase of the MaxxAir 22" Oscillating Pedestal Fan. Assembly is straightforward by referring to the instructions and diagram.

The assembly diagram illustrates the following components and their connection points:

Assembly Steps:

  1. Attach the Bottom Tube to the Base using the Screws (as indicated in diagram #1).
  2. Insert the Upper Tube into the Bottom Tube and secure with the Knob (as indicated in diagram #2).
  3. Attach the Motor to the Tube using the Screw (as indicated in diagram #3).
  4. Position the Back Grille over the Motor shaft and attach with Screws (as indicated in diagram #4).
  5. Insert the Blade Assembly onto the Motor shaft until it reaches a stopping point. Ensure the set screw aligns with the flat groove on the Motor shaft (as indicated in diagram #5).
  6. Attach the Front Grille to the Back Grille using the clips around the grille edge (as indicated in diagram #6).

CAUTION: Do not alter the fan's assembly in any way.

WARNING: Be sure the blade screw is fully tightened! Be sure front grille and back grille screws are tightened!

CAUTION: Read and follow all instructions before operating the fan. Do not use the fan if any parts are damaged or missing.

WARNING: To reduce the risk of electric shock, do not expose to water or rain. Do not use this fan with any solid-state speed control device. This appliance has a grounded plug, intended to fit an outlet only one way. If the plug does not fit the outlet, contact a qualified electrician. Do not attempt to bypass this procedure.

Rules for Safe Operation:

How to Adjust Tilt:

  1. Loosen the Adjust Knob.
  2. Adjust the fan head to the desired tilt.
  3. Tighten the Adjust Knob.

Speed Control:

The Rotate Switch markings 0, 1, 2, 3 designate OFF, LOW, MEDIUM, and HIGH, respectively. It is normal for the fan to feel warm to the touch after continuous operation. This fan features a thermostat that will automatically shut off the fan should it overheat for any reason. If this happens, immediately unplug the fan from the outlet.

To Make the Fan Oscillate:

Depress the Oscillating Puller at the top of the fan head. [Activate Oscillation]

To Stop the Fan from Oscillating:

Pull up on the Oscillating Puller at the top of the fan head. [Deactivate Oscillation]

Cleaning:

WARNING: Unplug the fan from the electrical supply source before cleaning.

IMPORTANT: Surges in electrical power or excessive heat may cause the fan to turn off. Wait approximately 15 minutes for the fan to resume operation.

Limited Warranty

Ventamatic, Ltd., extends this warranty to the original retail purchaser of this fan against defects in materials and workmanship for a period of two (2) years from the date of purchase. There is no warranty for defects caused by abuse. Repairs or replacement parts supplied under this warranty are warranted only for the period of this warranty; i.e., two years from the date of the original retail purchase of this fan.

In the event of a defect or malfunction, Ventamatic, Ltd. will replace or repair the defective part or component only and return the new repaired part freight prepaid. The purchaser must bear all other expenses incurred in obtaining repairs, including labor required for field repair or replacement and the cost of shipping the defective part or component to Ventamatic, Ltd. The purchaser must also bear the cost of repair to or replacement of any part or component and the shipping charges incurred for the repair or replacement and return of any part or component not covered by this warranty, including parts or components damaged by the purchaser.

Ventamatic, Ltd. reserves the right to demand and receive written evidence of the date of purchase before undertaking to perform its obligations under this warranty. Purchasers should therefore retain their sales slip and attach it to the warranty claim.

To Obtain Repair or Replacement:

Purchasers must select one of the following two methods:

A. Return to Factory

Return postage prepaid the fan or only the part of the fan believed to be defective to the following address: Ventamatic, Ltd., 100 Washington Street, Mineral Wells, TX 76067. Complete and enclose a written claim, attaching a copy of the sales slip or other proof of purchase.

B. Return to Retailer Dealer

If the retail dealer from whom the unit was purchased stocks replacement parts or components, purchasers may return a part or component believed to be defective to their dealer for replacement. Caution: Only a limited number of retail dealers stock replacement parts. If the dealer does not, the fan or part must be returned to the factory following procedure "A" above.

There is no informal dispute settling mechanism available in the event of a controversy involving this warranty.

Any and all implied warranties which may exist terminate upon the expiration of this written warranty, two years from the date of the original retail purchase. Some states do not allow limitations on how long an implied warranty lasts, so this limitation may not apply.

Ventamatic, Ltd. is not liable for incidental or consequential damages arising out of a defect or malfunction of this fan or out of any alleged breach of this warranty. Some states do not allow the exclusion or limitation of incidental or consequential damages, so this limitation or exclusion may not apply.

This warranty gives you specific legal rights and you may also have other rights which may vary from state to state.
