Schneider Electric TM1730 Series Industrial Controllers
This document provides technical specifications, wiring diagrams, safety instructions, and mounting guidelines for the Schneider Electric TM1730 series of industrial controllers.

Mounting Instructions
The TM1730 series controllers can be mounted using two primary methods:
DIN Rail Mounting
Mounting on a 35 mm (1.38 in.) top hat section rail (DIN rail) using appropriate brackets (e.g., NSYSDR200, NSYDPR200T, NSYSDR200BD).
Flush Panel Mounting
Mounting on a panel using special brackets provided. Dimensions for various models are specified for flush mounting.
Wiring and Connections
Power Supply
The controllers can be powered by ~24Vac or 20-38Vdc. Connections are made via CN7 and CN6 connectors.
A Type T fuse rated at 1.25 A is recommended for the power supply.
Digital Outputs (CN6)
Various models offer different types of digital outputs, including relay SPST (3 A @ 250 Vac) and SSR (0.5 A @ 240 Vac).
Digital Inputs (CN9)
Provides digital input terminals (D11 to D16) and a ground (GND) connection.
Analog Outputs (CN8)
Provides analog output terminals (AO1 to AO4).
Analog Inputs (CN10)
Supports various analog input types including NTC, PTC, Pt1000 sensors, and current/voltage signals (0-20mA, 4-20mA, 0-10V, 0-5V ratiometric). Maximum current limits are specified for 5Vdc and 24Vdc outputs.
Communication Interfaces
RS-485 (CN2, CN3)
Supports Modbus SL communication. Requires a 120 Ω terminal resistor if it is the end device of the bus.
CAN Expansion Bus (CN1)
Supports CAN expansion bus communication. Requires a 120 Ω terminal resistor if it is the end device of the bus.
USB (Type A and Type C)
USB ports are available for connection to PCs or USB pen drives, compatible with EcoStruxure Machine Expert HVAC V1.6 or later.
Valve Outputs (CN5)
Provides valve outputs (VMOT, W±) with built-in protection against overload and short-circuit (only for TM173ODEM22R model).
