Setting Up the Software

To run the software, double-click OPM.EXE. Installation is not required as the files can be run directly.

The software interface supports both Chinese and English versions. Users can switch between languages using the drop-down menu.

Using the Software

1. Connecting the Meter

Connect the Jonard Tools FPM-55 Optical Power Meter to your computer using a USB data cable and power it on. Verify the connection in your computer's device manager under "Ports (COM and LPT)". The connection may be labeled as "COM5" or similar, for example, "USB-SERIAL CH340 (COM5)".

In the FPM-55 software, select the corresponding COM port from the dropdown menu.

Click the Open COM button, followed by the Connect button. A confirmation message will appear indicating a successful connection.

2. User Information & Uploading Data

Before uploading data, populate the user information fields, including Company, Instrument Model, Serial No., and Test Operator. Additional details can be entered in the "Notes" text box.

To download all stored records from the power meter, click the DOWNLOAD DATA button while the meter is connected and powered on.

To delete a single dataset, select it from the list and click the DELETE button. To remove all entries, click DELETE ALL.

Once finished, click SAVE to export the data as a spreadsheet for later viewing or printing.
