Step 2: Power on the video doorbell.

Ensure that the Y-shaped power connectors are kept separate from each other.

Step 3: Launch the Reolink App. Tap the [Plus Icon] button in the top right corner and scan the QR code on the doorbell to add it.

Chime Pairing

To pair the chime with the doorbell:

  1. Power off the chime.
  2. Power on the chime while pressing the setting button to activate pairing mode. Continue pressing the button for 5 seconds until the chime's status LED turns on.
  3. Press the doorbell button once. The chime will be successfully paired if its status LED flashes twice and it beeps twice.

The chime is synchronized with the doorbell by default. If you wish to use two or more chimes for one doorbell, you will need to synchronize the chimes manually.

Install the Doorbell

Reolink Video Doorbell PoE

Step 1: Place the mounting hole template on the wall next to the door and drill holes as indicated.

Step 2: Install the mounting plate using the provided long screws through the two holes. [Diagram showing the mounting plate being attached to the wall with screws.]

Step 3: Run the Ethernet cable through the mounting plate and the hole in the wall. Connect it to the doorbell, then attach the doorbell to the mounting plate.

Step 4: Power the doorbell by connecting the other end of the Ethernet cable to a PoE device. [Diagram illustrating the Ethernet cable connection for PoE power.]

Reolink Video Doorbell WiFi

Step 1: Place the mounting hole template on the wall next to the door and drill holes as indicated.

Step 2: Install the mounting plate using the provided long screws through the two holes. [Diagram showing the mounting plate being attached to the wall with screws.]

Step 3: Run the power adapter through the mounting plate and the hole in the wall to connect it to the doorbell, then attach the doorbell to the mounting plate.

Step 4: Plug the power adapter into a socket near the door. Use the long power extension cable if the socket is too far from your doorbell. [Diagram showing the power adapter connection for the WiFi doorbell.]

Reolink Video Doorbell PoE and WiFi can also be powered by the existing doorbell wiring system. In such cases, you must first bypass the existing mechanical chime using a jumper cable to ensure sufficient power. Insufficient power may cause the doorbell to restart, have an unstable connection, and the mechanical chime may vibrate and generate noise. Use the extension cable to lengthen the existing power cable for the doorbell as shown below. After installation, the existing mechanical chime will no longer ring. [Diagram illustrating the connection to an existing doorbell transformer and mechanical chime, showing the use of a jumper cable and extension cable.]

Adjusting the Doorbell Angle

If you need to adjust the angle of the doorbell, you can use the provided wedges. (Example shown for Reolink Video Doorbell PoE)

Step 1: Place the mounting hole template on the wall and drill holes as shown.

Step 2: Install the wedge using the provided screws through the two holes. Ensure the notched side of the wedge faces outwards.

Step 3: Screw the mounting plate onto the wedge.

Step 4: Run the Ethernet cable through the wedge and mounting plate, and attach the doorbell to the plate. [Diagram showing the wedge installation and cable routing.]

Remove the Doorbell

If you wish to remove the doorbell from the mounting plate, you can use the reset pin to gently push the bottom. [Diagram showing how to use a pin to release the doorbell from the mounting plate.]
