Cardo Spirit Universal Communication Solution

Getting Started

The Cardo Spirit unit is designed for seamless communication. Key controls and indicators include:

• Audio: Controls audio playback.
• Media: Manages media functions.
• Volume +: Increases volume.
• Volume -: Decreases volume.
• Intercom: Manages intercom communication.
• LED Indicator: Displays unit status.

Basic Operations:

• Press & Hold: Press and hold the main button for 2 seconds.
• Number of Taps: Perform a single tap on the main button.

Power and Pairing

Power On/Off

To turn the unit on or off, press and hold the main button for 2 seconds [Press & Hold 2 Sec.].

Phone Pairing

To pair your smartphone:

1. Ensure Bluetooth is enabled on your smartphone.
2. On the Cardo Spirit, press and hold the main button for 5 seconds until the LED indicator flashes Red and Blue.
3. On your smartphone, search for available Bluetooth devices and select 'UCS' (Cardo Spirit).
4. Confirm pairing on your smartphone if prompted.

Stop Phone Pairing

To stop the phone pairing process, press and hold the main button for 5 seconds [Press & Hold 5 Sec.].

Cardo Connect App

The Cardo Connect App enhances your experience with the Spirit unit.

Download

Download the Cardo Connect App from the App Store or Google Play.

Register

Register your Cardo Spirit unit within the app to access full features and support.

Choose Language

Select your preferred language within the app's settings. Supported languages include English, Spanish, French, German, Chinese, Japanese, Russian, Italian, and Portuguese.

Update Software

Keep your unit up-to-date by downloading the latest software version through the Cardo Connect App.

General Operations

Volume Control

• Volume Up: Perform a single tap [x1 Tap] on the Volume Up control.
• Volume Down: Perform a single tap [x1 Tap] on the Volume Down control.

Microphone Mute/Unmute

Mute or unmute the microphone by pressing and holding the main button for 2 seconds [Press & Hold 2 Sec.].

Voice Assistant

Activate your smartphone's voice assistant (Siri or Google Assistant) by pressing and holding the main button for 2 seconds [Press & Hold 2 Sec.].

Playback

• Play/On: Perform a single tap [x1 Tap] on the main button.
• Pause/Off: Perform a single tap [x1 Tap] on the main button.

Track Navigation

• Next Track: Perform a single tap [x1 Tap] on the right side control.
• Previous Track: Perform a single tap [x1 Tap] on the left side control.

Share/Stop Sharing Music

Share or stop sharing music by performing a single tap [x1 Tap] on the main button.

Phone Calls

Call Management

• Answer/End Call: Answer or end an incoming/active call with a single tap [x1 Tap] on the main button.
• Ignore Incoming Call: Ignore an incoming call with a single tap [x1 Tap] on the main button.
• Redial Last Number: Redial the last dialed number by performing a triple tap [x3 Tap] on the main button.

Speed Dial

Set Number: Use the Cardo Connect App to set speed dial contacts. The app guides you through selecting and saving favorite numbers.

Call Speed Dial: Initiate a call to a speed dial contact by performing a double tap [x2 Tap] on the main button.

Bluetooth Intercom

Pairing

To pair with another rider (Rider A):

1. Ensure both units are powered on.
2. On your unit, press and hold the main button for 5 seconds [Press & Hold 5 Sec.] until the LED indicator shows Red.
3. On Rider A's unit, initiate pairing mode (refer to their device's manual).
4. Once paired, the LED indicator will turn solid Red.

Call/End Intercom

To initiate or end an intercom call, press and hold the main button for 2 seconds [Press & Hold 2 Sec.].

Factory Reset and Reboot

Factory Reset

To perform a factory reset, press and hold both side buttons simultaneously for 5 seconds [Press & Hold 5 Sec.].

Reboot

To reboot the unit, press and hold both side buttons simultaneously for 10 seconds [Press & Hold 10 Sec.].

Advanced Buttons Control

Device Pairing (GPS/TFT/Phone)

Step 1: Initiate pairing mode by pressing and holding the main button for 5 seconds [Press & Hold 5 Sec.] until the LED indicator flashes Red and Blue.

Step 2:

• GPS Pairing: Perform a single tap [x1 Tap] on the main button to pair with a GPS device.
• Phone 1 Pairing: Perform a single tap [x1 Tap] on the main button to pair with Phone 1.
• TFT Pairing: Perform a single tap [x1 Tap] on the main button to pair with a TFT display.
• Phone 2 Pairing: Perform a single tap [x1 Tap] on the main button to pair with Phone 2. The LED indicator will show Red & Green for successful pairing with Phone 2.

Stop Pairing

To stop the pairing process, press and hold the main button for 5 seconds [Press & Hold 5 Sec.].
