Front Panel Overview
The front panel of the RPM870 houses all primary controls and input/output connections.
Channel Strips (1-8)
- XLR/TRS Combo Input: Connect microphones (XLR) or line-level sources (TRS).
- Gain Control: Adjust the input signal level for each channel.
- EQ Controls: High, Mid, and Low frequency adjustment knobs.
- FX Send: Controls the amount of signal sent to the internal effects processor.
- Pan Control: Adjust the stereo position of the channel (left to right).

Master Section

Operation Guide
Setup
- Connect your passive speakers to the Speaker Outputs on the rear panel.
- Connect microphones or line-level instruments to the XLR/TRS combo inputs on the front panel.
- Ensure the Main Mix Volume is turned down before powering on.
- Connect the power cord to the AC Power Input and plug it into a grounded AC outlet.
- Turn on the Power Switch. The unit will power up.
Connecting Microphones
Use XLR cables for microphones. Plug the XLR connector into the combo jack. Adjust the Gain control so the Peak LED just flickers on the loudest vocal passages.
Connecting Line-Level Sources
Use 1/4" TRS cables for keyboards, guitars, or other line-level instruments. Plug into the TRS portion of the combo jack. Adjust Gain as needed.
Using Bluetooth
Press the Bluetooth button on the front panel. The unit will enter pairing mode. On your Bluetooth-enabled device (smartphone, tablet), search for "RPM870" and select it to pair. Once paired, audio will stream wirelessly to the mixer.
Using USB Playback
Insert a USB drive formatted with MP3 files into the USB port. Use the playback controls (Play/Pause, Skip Forward/Backward) to select and play your music.
Using Effects
Select an effect using the Effects Control knob. Adjust the FX Send level on each channel to mix the effect into the sound. The main Effects knob controls the overall effect level in the master mix.
Using the Graphic EQ
Adjust the 7-band graphic equalizer sliders to fine-tune the overall tonal balance of your mix. Start with flat settings (all sliders at 0) and adjust to taste.
