Note on Airflow Data:
- The airflow data is for reference only.
- In any situation, the airflow of the unit should be in the range of 80% to 130% of 400CFM/Ton.
- The air distribution system has the greatest effect on airflow and is controlled by the contractor. Contractors should use industry-recognized procedures.
- Heat pump systems require specified airflow. Each ton of cooling requires between 350 and 450 cubic feet of air per minute (CFM), or 400 CFM nominally.
- Duct design and construction are critical for system performance. Poor planning or workmanship can significantly lower performance.
- Air supply diffusers must be selected and located carefully to deliver treated air along the perimeter of the space. Improperly sized or located diffusers can cause noise or drafts. Return air grilles must be properly sized to carry air back to the blower; undersized grilles can also cause noise.
- Installers should balance the air distribution system for proper quiet airflow to all rooms, ensuring a comfortable living space.
- An air velocity meter or airflow hood can measure system CFM.
- When installing, select air speed according to the actual static pressure.

Wiring Diagrams
The following diagrams illustrate the wiring for the Midea MRD M134H Series Packaged Heat Pump. Please note that the actual wiring may differ slightly from the diagrams provided.
General Wiring Notes:
- For 208 volts, remove the red lead from the "240V" terminal and connect it to the "208V" terminal on the transformer.
- The "W2" wire may not be provided in all models.
- "SW3" is exclusively for heat pump systems.
- "RV" is exclusively for heat pump systems; it may not be provided in some models.
- To set the indoor blower motor speed: Exchange the red and blue wires for medium speed; exchange the black and blue wires for high speed. The default setting is low speed.
- Use copper conductors only.
- The cabinet must be permanently grounded.
- All wiring must conform to I.E.C., N.E.C., C.L.C., and applicable local codes.
- Replacement wires must be the same gauge and insulation type as the original wires.
