Safety Instructions
General Safety Instructions:
- Use the device only according to its intended purpose and within specifications.
- Measuring tools and accessories are not toys. Keep out of reach of children.
- Do not modify the device's structure.
- Do not expose the device to mechanical stress, extreme temperatures, moisture, or significant vibration.
Safety Instructions - Electromagnetic Radiation:
- The measuring device complies with electromagnetic compatibility regulations and limit values according to EMC-Directive 2014/30/EU.
- Local operating restrictions may apply (e.g., in hospitals, aircraft, petrol stations, or near people with pacemakers). Electronic devices can cause hazards or interference.
Danger - Powerful Magnetic Fields:
Powerful magnetic fields can adversely affect persons with active medical implants (e.g., pacemakers) and electromechanical devices (e.g., magnetic cards, mechanical clocks, precision mechanics, hard disks).
Comply with national stipulations and regulations regarding the effect of magnetic fields on persons, such as BGV B11 §14 "electromagnetic fields" in the Federal Republic of Germany.
To avoid interference/disruption, always keep implants or devices at a safe distance of at least 30 cm away from the magnet.
Operation
Inserting the Battery:
Open the battery compartment and insert batteries according to the symbols. Ensure correct polarity.
Working with the Laser Receiver:
Set the rotary laser to maximum speed and switch the laser receiver on. The receiver can detect the laser beam at a great distance. Move the SensoLite up and down through the laser beam until the middle indicator (13) appears. Mark the measured height at the all-round marking groove.
Tolerance Settings:
- Free-hand range (10): Display with larger tolerance for rough alignment by hand.
- Precision range (11): Display with smaller tolerance for precision alignment (e.g., with levelling staffs).
Universal Mount
The laser receiver can be attached to levelling staffs using the universal mount. The Flexi measuring staff (Art. No. 080.50 – red / 080.51 – green) is recommended for all measurements from floor heights, allowing direct calculation of height differences.
Maintenance and Care
Clean all components with a slightly damp cloth. Avoid using cleaning agents, scouring agents, or solvents. Remove batteries before storing for longer periods. Store the device in a clean, dry place.
