Hercules DJControl Inpulse T7 Premium Fader Module Installation

This guide provides instructions for installing the premium fader module on the Hercules DJControl Inpulse T7.

Tools and Preparation

You will need a Philips cross screwdriver and a torx key.

  1. PDF Versions: Available at https://support.hercules.com
  2. Contents: Ensure you have all necessary components.
  3. Disconnect Cables: Unplug the T7 power and USB cables. Remove the volume and crossfader caps.

Disassembly

  1. Remove Torx Screws: Remove 4 torx screws using the torx key.
  2. Remove Metal Plate: Detach the metal plate.
  3. Remove Philips Screws: Remove Philips (cross) screws.
  4. Remove Plastic Plate: Remove the plastic plate covering the faders.
  5. Remove Power Cable: Disconnect the faders' power cable.
  6. Remove Fader Board Screws: Remove 4 screws from the fader board.
  7. Remove Standard Fader Board: Take out the standard fader circuit board.

Installation

  1. Install Premium Fader Module: Place the premium fader module (black board) into the T7.
  2. Connect Power Cable: Insert the power cable.
  3. Secure Module: Add 4 Philips (cross) screws to secure the module.
  4. Replace Cover: Place the cover back onto the unit.
  5. Secure Cover: Add 2 Philips (cross) screws to secure the cover.
  6. Fix Premium Plate: Reattach the premium plate using 4 torx screws.

Calibration and Setup

  1. Before Calibrating: Ensure your DJControl Inpulse T7 firmware version is at least 1.87 / Top 1.24. Check this in the Hercules drivers Control panel under 'About'.
  2. Calibrate Faders: Connect the T7 power and USB cables. Press and hold the 'Back' and 'Range' keys on deck 2 while switching on the T7 power. Release the 'Back' and 'Range' keys.
  3. Beatmatch Guide Key Blinks: The 2 FX keys will light up (1 & 2). Move both volume faders to the top position. Move the crossfader to the middle position.
  4. Press Beatmatch Guide Key: Press the Beatmatch guide key once. 2 more FX keys will light up (3 & second 1). Move the 2 volume faders to their minimum and maximum positions twice. Move the crossfader fully to the left and then fully to the right.
  5. Press Beatmatch Guide Key Again: Press the Beatmatch guide key once more. All FX keys should now be lit. The calibration is finished.
