Yealink Batch Deployment Guide

This guide details the process of configuring Wi-Fi networks and deploying settings to multiple Yealink IP handsets efficiently using the batch deployment feature.

Step 1/2: Connecting to Wi-Fi Network

Before proceeding with batch deployment, you must configure the Wi-Fi network on one handset, referred to as Handset A.

Scenario 1: Handset A is brand new or restored to factory settings

  1. Select the language on Handset A.
  2. Connect to Wi-Fi: Select Quick Wi-Fi Connect and press the [OK Button].
Description of Handset Wi-Fi Screen: A screen displays "Wi-Fi" as the title, with options "1. Quick Wi-Fi Connect" and "2. Available Networks". Buttons "Back" and "Option" are shown at the bottom.

3. Scan the QR Code displayed on Handset A from your mobile phone. 3.1. Use a mobile phone (Android/iOS) to scan the Quick Wi-Fi Connect QR code. The mobile phone browser will open the Wi-Fi network configuration page. 3.2. Configure the Wi-Fi name (SSID) and password on the mobile phone, and then tap Confirm.

Description of Connection Flow: A diagram shows a mobile phone with a QR code labeled "SCAN". An arrow points to a mobile phone screen displaying "WiFi Configuration" and then "Connecting...", followed by "Connected successful". Another arrow points from the mobile phone to a Yealink Handset, showing it in a "Connecting..." state and then "Connected successful".
NOTE: The default encryption method is WPA/WPA2-PSK, and the optional value is WPA3-Personal.

3.3. If the connection fails, press Reconnect on Handset A and try again.

Description of Failed Connection Screen: A handset screen shows "Quick Wi-Fi Connect" with the status "Connected failed". Buttons "Back" and "Reconnect" are available.
TIP - Connection Failed Reason:
  1. WiFi authentication error: The entered Wi-Fi password is incorrect. Ensure the password is correct and is case-sensitive.
  2. Weak signal (packet loss): If you are too far from the Wi-Fi router or if obstacles like walls interfere with the signal, connection may fail.
  3. Router issues: The router may have configuration errors, outdated firmware, or hardware malfunctions.
  1. Set the time zone on Handset A.
  2. On Handset A, press the [OK Button] key > Wi-Fi to check the Wi-Fi status.
Description of Wi-Fi Status Screen: A handset screen titled "Wi-Fi" shows options: "1. Wi-Fi On", "2. Wi-Fi Band 2.4G & 5G", "3. Wi-Fi Status Yealink-VOIP Connected", "4. Known Network", "5. Available Networks". Buttons "Back" and "Save" are at the bottom.

Scenario 2: Change to a new environment

  1. On Handset A, press the [OK Button] key > Wi-Fi.
Description of Handset Main Menu: A screen shows the main application icons on a Yealink handset, including Wi-Fi. Buttons "Back" and "Enter" are at the bottom.

Once Handset A is connected to Wi-Fi, you can use the batch deployment feature to deploy settings to the remaining handsets quickly.

Procedure

  1. On Handset A, press the [OK Button] key > Wi-Fi > Batch Deployment.
Description of Wi-Fi Menu Navigation: A sequence shows the main handset menu, then the Wi-Fi menu, highlighting the "7. Batch Deployment" option. Buttons "Back" and "Enter" are shown.
  1. Set the Hotspot to On.

The default Hotspot SSID is Axseies_deploy, and the Hotspot Password is AXseries@8!.

  1. Press Save. At this point, Handset A starts providing a hotspot for external connections.
  2. The Wi-Fi configurations of Handset A are being synchronized in batch to other handsets.
    • Other handsets: They will automatically connect to the preset hotspot and also support manual hotspot connection.
    • Handset A: It automatically synchronizes its own Wi-Fi configuration information to the AX series handsets that are connected to the deployed hotspot.
Description of Batch Deployment Status: A screen titled "Batch Deployment" shows: "1.Hotspot Enable", "2.SSID AXseries deploy", "3.Password AXseries@8!". A status indicator shows "Deployed: 4". Buttons "Back" and "Save" are at the bottom.
