  1. Press the front windshield defrost button.
  2. Set to warmest temperature.
  3. Set to highest fan speed.

Windshield Wiper/Washer

Wiper Control: Move switch down for positions: MIST (single wipe), OFF, INT/AUTO (intermittent speed adjustment), LO (low speed), HI (high speed). Pull lever toward you to spray washer fluid. Push lever up for a single wiper pass.

Features and Controls

Instrument Cluster Overview: The instrument cluster displays vital information including Speedometer, Power/Charge gauge, Distance to empty, Warning indicator lights, LCD display, and Battery SOC (State of Charge) gauge.

Warnings and Indicators:

Vehicle Power Gauge: Displays energy consumption (POWER, ECO) and charge/discharge status (CHARGE) of regenerative brakes.

High Voltage Battery SOC (State of Charge) Gauge: Shows battery charge status. "L(Low)" indicates low energy, "H(High)" indicates fully charged. 2-3 bars near "L(Low)" trigger a warning light, indicating approximately 12-18 miles range remaining. Charging is required.

LCD Display Control: Use MODE button to change modes, MOVE switch to change items, OK to select/reset.

LCD Display Modes: Trip Computer, Turn By Turn (TBT), Assist (ASCC/LKAS), User Settings, Warning.

Instrument Panel Illumination: Adjust brightness using the control button.

Service Interval Reminder System: Notifies of next maintenance interval. Activate via steering wheel (Mode) button > User Settings > Service Interval > Enable Service Interval > Set/Adjust Interval.

Aux. Battery Saver+: Monitors and charges the 12V auxiliary battery if low, using the main high voltage battery. ⚠️ Do not touch high voltage wires/connectors when active.

Electric Vehicle System Modes: Displays battery level, charging stations, distance to empty, departure time settings, charging/climate control configuration, electricity usage limit, V2L (Vehicle-to-Load) function, EV settings, and solar roof status.

Power Driver's Seat Adjustment: Adjust forward/backward, seat height, seatback angle, and lumbar support.

Rear Seat Adjustment: Adjust forward/rearward and seatback angle.

Heated/Ventilated Front Seats: Activate via infotainment screen (Heating/Ventilation icon) or front climate control panel (WARMER). Adjust temperature with ⬆️/⬇️ icons.

Driver Position Memory System: Stores and recalls seat, mirror, and HUD positions. Store by holding buttons 1 or 2 in Park. Recall by pressing the desired button.

Driver's Main Controls: Includes folding mirrors (press smart key lock/unlock), outer side view mirror adjustment (L/R button, directional switch), power window lock button, door lock, and window switches.

Vision Roof (if equipped): Slide sunshade open/closed. Reset procedure involves closing fully, then pushing switch forward slightly, then holding forward until it slides open and closes.

Power Liftgate Operation: Press to open (within range). Press for 1 sec to open, press and hold to close. Requires vehicle in Park.

Hands Free Smart Liftgate: Enables no-touch activation after doors are locked for 15 seconds and approaching the liftgate area for 3 seconds with the Smart Key.

Charging Door: Open by pressing outside or using Smart Key. Close by pressing the button. Emergency opening available via tailgate pull.

Charging Connector Lock: Modes: Always lock, Lock while charging, Do not lock. Table details lock status before, during, and after charging.

Charging Status: Indicators show battery SOC % for electric charging door.

Headlights: Controls include Headlights, Parking lights, Auto headlights, All lights OFF. Headlight Delay feature. LED Headlights offer a special beam pattern. Smart High Beam Function: Select auto, push lever forward to engage/disengage Auto High Beam.

Wipers and Washer: Controls for MIST, OFF, INT/AUTO, LO, HI speeds. Intermittent wipe time adjustment. Windshield Washer: Pull lever toward you.

Key Hole Access (driver door): Pull rear part of handle, insert mechanical key to lock/unlock.

Homelink Wireless Control System: Program garage door opener buttons. Rolling Code Programming instructions provided. Visit homelink.com for more info.

Infotainment

Bluetooth® Phone Pairing: Tutorials available via Smart QR code. Setup: All Menus > Setup > Device Connections > Bluetooth > Bluetooth Connections > Add New.

Bluetooth® Phone Operation: Connect via phone's Bluetooth settings. Vehicle must be parked.

Steering Wheel Audio Control: VOLUME (raise/lower, mute), SEEK/PRESET (change station), MODE (change audio source).

Bluetooth® Operational Tips: Keep volume low, avoid rough roads/open windows, ensure AC vents aren't aimed at the microphone.

Voice Recognition: Use [Push-to-talk] button. Commands for calling by name or number. Performance can be affected by driving conditions.

Bluelink® Connected Car System: Requires subscription. Access services via ? button. SOS button for emergency assistance. Visit HyundaiBluelink.com.

MyHyundai with Bluelink App: Downloadable app for remote control features. Requires Bluelink PIN. Remote Climate Control allows remote climate activation and defroster. ⚠️ Do not remote start in enclosed spaces. CAUTION: Turn off wipers before parking if remote start is activated.

Wireless Cellular Phone Charging System: Located in front of cup holders. Operates with doors closed and ignition in ACC/ON/START. Supports Qi-enabled phones. Avoid metallic items on charger.

USB Port: Connect external audio devices.

USB Charger: Front and Rear USB ports for charging devices when ignition is ON or START.

Radio Mode: Turn on via POWER button. Tune/Listen to channels (FM/AM/SiriusXM®). Set preset memory buttons. Adjust sound control (Setup > Sound).

Navigation: Basic map screen features include Home screen, map display mode, volume adjustment, zoom, scale, driving direction guidance, lane display, quick menus, distance/ETA. Destination search screen allows searching by keywords, previous destinations, address book, POI categories, restaurants, EV charging stations, emergency services, editing routes, and saving favorites.

Android Auto™: Requirements: USB cable, Android 5.0+, compatible phone, data plan. Setup: Turn on Bluetooth, connect USB, download app. Vehicle must be parked. High accuracy location mode recommended.

Apple CarPlay™: Requirements: Apple Lightning cable, iOS, iPhone 5+, data plan. Setup: Go to Settings > General > CarPlay on phone, ensure Siri is ON. Connect iPhone to USB port.

CarPlay Home Screen: Icons for HOME, Wireless Connectivity, Cellular Signal, Phone Time, PHONE, APPLE MUSIC™, APPLE MAPS, MESSAGES, 3RD PARTY APPS, SCREEN PAGE INDICATOR, EXIT TO HYUNDAI, CURRENT CARPLAY AUDIO PLAYING, VOICE RECOGNITION. Siri can initiate sessions for texting, calls, and finding destinations.

Driving

Shift by Wire Gear Selector: Depress brake pedal and rotate dial. P button for Park. Vehicle shifts to P automatically if turned off in R, N, or D.

Regenerative Brake Level Control Paddles: Adjust braking rate from 0 to 3. Left side (⬆️) increases braking, Right side (⬇️) decreases. Paddles do not operate when both are pulled or Cruise Control is active. "Smart Automatic Regeneration" mode available.

Regenerative Braking Q&A: Advantages include reduced energy loss, extended range, and increased fuel efficiency. Deceleration feeling is normal and increases with higher levels. One pedal driving may be activated by pulling (+) paddle.

Smart Cruise Control (SCC): Turn on via Driving Assist ( ) button. Set speed and vehicle distance. Increase/decrease speed by 1 mph (quick toggle) or 10 mph (hold). Temporarily cancel by pressing switch or brake pedal.

Electronic Parking Brake (EPB): Apply by pulling switch. Release by pressing switch while depressing brake. Automatic release when shifting out of P or N.

Highway Driving Assist (HDA) (if equipped): Keeps vehicle in lane, maintains distance, and adjusts speed to limit on highways. Operates when SCC is active and speed is under 95 mph. Indicator illuminates white when READY, green when ENABLED.

Lane Keeping Assist System (LKA): Detects lane markers and assists steering between 40-110 mph. Turn on/off by pressing and holding button. May not activate in poor visibility or road conditions.

Forward Collision-Avoidance Assist (FCA): Detects vehicle ahead, warns of imminent collision, and applies emergency braking if necessary. Cyclist detection available on some models. Activate via Settings menu.

Virtual Engine Sound System (VESS): Generates engine sound for pedestrians at low speeds. Additional warning sound in Reverse.

Blind-Spot Collision Warning (BCW): Uses radar sensors to warn of vehicles in blind spots. Includes Blind-Spot Area, Lane Departure Warning, and Rear Cross-Traffic Collision Warning. Turn on/off via Settings menu.

Tire Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS): Low Tire Pressure Indicator illuminates for under-inflated tires. TPMS Malfunction Indicator blinks then stays on for system malfunction. Display tire pressure via Driving Assist mode button. Environmental factors affect tire pressure.

Digital Key Pairing (if equipped): Start engine using smartphone app and NFC. Pair via Hyundai Digital Key app and vehicle settings. Place phone on wireless charger to complete. Available for Android users only.

Near Field Communication (NFC): Use NFC key card to lock/unlock vehicle by holding it to the door handle. Does not work if Smart Key is present, ignition is ACC/ON, or doors are open. Only one NFC key card can be paired at a time.

Drive Mode: Set via DRIVE MODE button on steering wheel. Modes: NORMAL (ordinary), ECO (fuel efficiency), SPORT (dynamic), SNOW (icy/rainy roads).

IONIQ ELECTRIC Customer Delivery Checklist: Includes checks for tire pressure, vehicle condition, windshield/back window, floor mats, and walkthrough of key features (Quick Reference Guide, Bluetooth pairing, Navigation, Voice Command, Audio System).

Bluetooth® Hands-Free: Connect phone via radio (SETUP > Bluetooth > Bluetooth Connection > Add New) or phone settings. Switch between paired phones via voice command or radio settings.
