This product is intended for use by adults with experience flying remote control helicopters in legal flying fields.
Safety Notes: Fly only in safe, open areas away from people and obstacles. Do not operate near buildings, high voltage cables, or trees. Always check rotorhead spindle shaft screws, tail blade grip linkage balls, and screws before each flight to ensure they are securely fastened.
Lithium Polymer Batteries: Li-Po batteries are volatile. Always follow manufacturer instructions for use and disposal. Mishandling can result in fire.
Moisture: Keep the model and equipment away from moisture. Water exposure can cause malfunction or crashes.
Proper Operation: Use only specified replacement parts. This product is for RC model use only.
Safe Operation: Never attempt to grab or touch the helicopter while the blades are in motion. Keep a safe distance from the helicopter during takeoff, landing, and flight. Operate within your abilities and avoid flying when tired. Never leave the model unattended while powered on.
Assistance: Obtain assistance from an experienced pilot if needed. Always be aware of rotating blades and keep away from heat.
Transmitter Overview
The FW450 utilizes the FS-i6S transmitter, operating on 2.4GHz with a 1km control distance. It features a built-in dual omnidirectional antenna.
Key controls include:
- Left Stick: Controls Up/Down and Turn Left/Right.
- Right Stick: Controls Forward/Backward and Left/Right flight.
- Other Controls: Cut throttle, Start, Power Switch, Touch Screen, Return, GPS, 3D Fly modes.
Using Your FW450 Helicopter
- Power on Transmitter: Hold the two power switches for two seconds. If a warning appears, adjust the stick switches as indicated.
- Turn on Helicopter Power: Insert the battery securely into the helicopter's abdomen. Connect the yellow battery plug to the helicopter. Ensure the rotor head movement is regular before installing the canopy.
- Charging: Use the official charger. Ensure the battery temperature is normal before charging. Connect the battery's white balance lead to the charger. The screen will display voltage and indicate when fully charged (FLL).
- Ready to Fly: Place the helicopter on a flat, open area, facing away from the user.
- Manual Takeoff: Unlock flight control. Turn the start safety switch to start. Slowly push the throttle stick up.
- Manual Landing: Slowly pull the throttle stick down to descend. Turn the start safety switch to flameout to stop the motor.
Important Flight Notes: Do not stop the motor during flight unless in an emergency. The helicopter may not take off with a low battery alarm. The propeller rotates at high speed; maintain a safe distance.
Return Function: The transmitter's stick can be used for automatic return. The helicopter will also automatically return if the power system detects low battery levels sufficient only for return and landing.
