4. Operation
4.1 Safety
CAUTION: The heat pad is fitted with a SAFETY SYSTEM that provides protection against overheating via automatic switch-off in case of a fault. If the SAFETY SYSTEM activates, the temperature settings will no longer illuminate when switched on.
For safety reasons, a heat pad that has experienced a fault cannot be operated further and must be sent to the specified service address. Do not connect a defective heat pad with another control of the same type, as this may trigger a permanent switch-off.
4.2 Initial Use
CAUTION: Ensure the heat pad will not bunch up or become folded during use.
- Connect the control to the heat pad by plugging in the connector.
- Plug the power plug into the mains outlet.
4.3 Switching On
To switch the heat pad on, set the slider for ON/OFF and temperature settings to setting 1, 2, or 3. The temperature settings will illuminate when switched on.
4.4 Setting the Temperature
- Level 0: OFF
- Level 1: Minimum heat
- Level 2: Medium heat
- Level 3: Maximum heat
Note: The fastest way to warm up the heat pad is to initially set the highest temperature setting.
Note: This heat pad has a fast heating function, allowing it to warm up faster in the first 10 minutes.
WARNING: If using the heat pad for several hours, set the lowest temperature to avoid overheating body parts, which may lead to burns.
4.5 Automatic Switch-off
This heat pad is equipped with an automatic switch-off function. It turns off the heat supply approximately 90 minutes after initial use. The temperature setting display will flash. To switch it back on, set the slider to "0" (OFF) for at least 5 seconds, then it can be switched on again.
[Visual: A circular icon indicating 90 minutes with a stop symbol.]
4.6 Switching Off
To switch the heat pad off, set the slider for ON/OFF and temperature settings to "0" (OFF). The temperature settings will no longer be illuminated.
Note: If the heat pad is not in use, switch the slider to "0" (OFF), unplug the power plug, and disconnect the control from the heat pad.
5. Cleaning and Maintenance
WARNING: Before cleaning, always remove the power plug from the socket and disconnect the control from the heat pad. Risk of electric shock.
CAUTION: The control must never come into contact with water or other liquids.
- To clean the control, use a dry, lint-free cloth. Do not use chemical or abrasive cleaning agents.
- Small marks on the heat pad can be removed with a damp cloth and a little liquid detergent for delicate laundry.
CAUTION: The heat pad may not be chemically cleaned, wrung out, tumble dried, mangled, or ironed, as this may cause damage.
- This heat pad is machine-washable.
- Wash in a washing machine on a gentle cycle at 30 °C (wool cycle) using a delicate laundry detergent.
CAUTION: Frequent washing negatively affects the product. Wash a maximum of 10 times during its life.
- After washing, reshape the heat pad to its original dimensions while damp and spread it flat on a clothes horse to dry.
CAUTION: Do not use pegs or similar items to attach the heat pad to the clothes horse. Do not reconnect the control until the plug-in connection and heat pad are completely dry.
WARNING: Never switch the heat pad on to dry it. Risk of electric shock.
6. Storage
If not using the heat pad for a long period, store it in the original packaging. Disconnect the control from the heat pad by unplugging the plug-in coupling.
