Getting Started

Step 1: Attach Stand or Mount

Before using your TV, attach your TV stand or mount it on the wall.

CAUTION:

Attach the TV Stand

To attach the TV stand legs:

  1. Carefully place your TV face down on a clean, soft, and flat surface.
  2. Insert the TV base stands into the bottom slots on your TV.
  3. Use the provided screws to secure each leg tightly.

Step 1.1: Attach the Wall Mount Bracket (Not Included)

Before beginning third-party manufacturer instructions, follow these steps:

  1. Place the TV face down on a clean, safe, and cushioned surface.
  2. Remove the TV stand if already attached.
  3. Place spacers (not included) in the corresponding bracket holes.

Step 2: Connect Devices to Your TV

Ensure cables are connected securely to the correct ports. Loose connections can affect picture and color quality.

Insert the Batteries

  1. Remove the back cover to access the battery compartment.
  2. Insert two AAA or AA batteries, matching the (+) and (-) ends with the indicators in the compartment.
  3. Replace the battery compartment cover.

Step 4: Power on the TV

Plug the power cord into a power outlet. The TV will display a launch screen with the Hisense logo.

Step 5: Complete the First-Time Setup

Upon the first power-on, a guided setup will assist you in connecting your TV to the Internet and completing the initial configuration.

Step 6: Establish a Network Connection

  1. Press the [Home] button on the remote control and select the [settings-icon] icon to enter the Settings menu.
  2. Select Network > Network Configuration.

Establish a Wireless Network Connection

The TV can receive network signals wirelessly via a router. Ensure your Wi-Fi is turned on before establishing a wireless connection.

Text-to-Speech (TTS) and Video Description Functionalities

Text-to-Speech (TTS) and Video Description help navigate menus and provide audio descriptions of programs. TTS converts written text to voice for visually impaired users. Video Description adds audio narration to describe visual elements for programs.

To enable these functions:

  1. Press the menu button on your remote to access the Menu.
  2. Select Settings to enter the Settings Menu.
  3. Select Accessibility > Narration or Voice Guide to turn the feature 'On' or 'Off'.

When Voice Guide is On, menu contents are broadcasted audibly. When Narration is On, program introductions are provided audibly.

Troubleshooting

If you encounter issues, try turning the TV off and on again. If the problem persists, consult the table below. For issues not listed, contact Hisense support using the phone numbers provided earlier.

No sound or picture
  • Check if the power cord is plugged into a powered AC outlet.
  • Press the Power button on the remote to activate from 'Standby' mode.
  • Check if the LED light is on; if so, the TV is receiving power.
External source connected, but no picture/sound
  • Check the correct output connection on the external source and the correct input connection on the TV.
  • Ensure the correct input mode for the signal is selected.
Delay before picture appears on startupYes, this is normal. The TV is initializing and searching for previous setting information.
Picture normal, but no sound
  • Check volume settings.
  • Check if 'Mute' mode is set to On.
Sound, but no picture or black and white picture
  • If the picture is black and white, unplug and replug the TV after 60 seconds.
  • Check that the Color setting is 50 or higher.
  • Try different TV channels.
Sound and/or picture distorted or wavy
  • An nearby electric appliance might be affecting the TV. Turn off nearby appliances and move them away from the TV.
  • Insert the TV power plug into a different power outlet.
Sound and picture blurry or cuts out
  • If using an external antenna, check its direction, position, and connection.
  • Adjust antenna direction or reset/fine-tune the channel.
Horizontal or vertical stripe on picture, or picture shakingCheck if a nearby appliance or electric tool is causing interference.
Plastic cabinet makes a "clicking" soundThe 'click' sound can occur due to temperature changes causing the cabinet to expand or contract. This is normal and the TV is functioning correctly.
Remote control does not work
  • Confirm the TV has power and is operational.
  • Change the batteries in the remote control.
  • Check if the batteries are correctly installed.
