Locinox Magnus Gate Motor
Installation and Operation Manual
Product Overview
The Locinox Magnus is an automated gate motor designed for the opening and closing of pedestrian swing gates for outdoor use. It is a reversible motor that requires an electric lock. The operating speed is limited to low-energy settings as per EN 16005 and ANSI 156.19 standards. Modifications to the product are not permitted.

Installation and Safety Notices
Locinox declines all liability for improper use or use other than intended. Do not install in explosive atmospheres. Power supply connection must be made by a professional electrician. Ensure proper earthing. Respect minimum cable sections. Prepare suitable conduits for electrical cables. The gate structure must be solid and suitable, with reinforcement at anchoring points if necessary. Steel gate posts should be 3mm thick (minimum 2mm), and aluminum posts 5mm thick. Hinges should be in good condition and lubricated; bearing hinges are recommended. High forces on hinges during gate movement may require a safety cable and oversized hinges. The gate must be level; do not install on tilted gates. The Magnus operator arm must be installed on the top side; do not install upside down. Ensure a stop is installed in the closed position; an opening stop is recommended. Ensure sufficient distance (min. 25mm) between the moving gate and the post to prevent finger entrapment. Follow current directives, standards, and country-specific regulations (Europe: EN16005 / US: ANSI 156.19). A risk analysis must be performed according to the Machinery Directive 2006/42/EC and the gate identified according to the CE Marking directive 93/68/EEC before commissioning. Reducing gaps at the hinge area can generate high force; apply control measures like safety edges, non-contact presence detection, or flexible guards.
