Box Contents
- 2 x satellite speakers
- 1 x subwoofer
- 1 x control pod
- 1 x owner's guide with connection diagram
Important Cautions
- Do not plug in the power supply until all connections are made.
- Use only the AC power cable supplied with these speakers.
- Keep speakers away from extreme heat sources such as stereo amplifiers, space heaters, stoves, and heat vents.
- Clean the system with a dry cloth. Do not use cleaning solvents like furniture wax, bleach, benzene, acetone, or ammonia on any part of the system.
Speaker Placement
- Subwoofer: For optimal performance, place the subwoofer on the floor near a wall or in a corner. Adjust its distance from the wall or corner to fine-tune bass quality. Direct the open port towards the wall to enhance bass punch.
- Satellite Speakers: For best stereo separation, place the satellite speakers on opposite sides of your listening device, computer, or TV screen, ideally as far apart as possible. For example, if using with a laptop on a desk, place the left speaker on the far left corner and the right speaker on the far right corner of the desk.

Speaker Connection
These speakers can connect to various devices. Refer to the instructions below to identify the connection method that best matches your source.
Desktop Computer Connection
- Connect the green plug cable to the green output/source jack (sound/audio out jack) on the back or front of the computer.
- Connect the gray plug to the "To Speaker" jack on the back of the subwoofer.
- Plug the AC power cord into a wall socket or power strip.
Smartphone, iPod, MP3 Player, DVD Player, or CD Player Connection
- Connect the green plug cable to the green output/source jack of the audio device.
- Connect the gray plug to the "To Speaker" jack on the back of the subwoofer.
- Plug the AC power cord into a wall socket or power strip.
Gaming System Connection
- A console gaming adapter (Y adapter with dual-RCA outputs, sold separately) is required.
- Turn off your gaming system.
- Connect the red and white dual-RCA connections of the Y adapter to the matching red and white RCA jacks on your gaming system.
- Connect the green stereo jack at the other end of the Y adapter to the control pod cable's green plug.
- Connect the gray plug to the "To Speaker" jack on the back of the subwoofer.
Connection Diagram Description: The diagram illustrates various connection scenarios. For desktop computers, a monitor and tower are shown connected to the subwoofer via a green line-out cable and a gray speaker cable, with the subwoofer also connected to AC power. For audio devices like smartphones or MP3 players, the device connects to the control pod via a green audio out cable, and the control pod connects to the subwoofer. For gaming systems, a console connects to the subwoofer via a Y-adapter (red/white RCA to green stereo jack) and the gray speaker cable, with the subwoofer connected to AC power. An auxiliary cable is shown as not included.
Controls and Features
- Power: The on/off button is on the wired remote control pod. Slide it to turn the speaker system on or off.
- Master Volume Control: Located on the wired remote, marked "MAX" and "MIN". Rotate clockwise to increase volume, counter-clockwise to decrease.
- Bass Volume Control: Located on the subwoofer jack panel, marked "Bass Vol". Rotate clockwise to increase bass volume, counter-clockwise to decrease.
- Headphone Output Jack: Connect headphones to this jack to automatically mute the speaker system. The master volume control does not affect headphone volume; adjust volume on your sound source device for adequate listening levels.
- Auxiliary Input Connection: A second 3.5mm input jack on the side of the control pod allows quick connection of an MP3 player or other audio source. This auxiliary input overrides the computer source connection when plugged in.
Control Pod Layout
The control pod features a power on/off switch, a master volume control dial, an auxiliary input jack, and a headphone output jack.
Subwoofer Rear Panel
The subwoofer's rear panel includes a "Bass Vol" control dial and a "To Speaker" jack for connecting the control pod.
Troubleshooting
Symptom: Speaker system will not power on.
- Solution:
- Ensure the power button on the wired remote is slid to the "on" position and check for the blue LED indicator light.
- Verify the AC power cord is securely plugged into a wall outlet.
- Confirm the wall outlet or power strip is receiving power (i.e., not a switched outlet).
Symptom: Speaker does not produce sound.
- Solution:
- Verify the speaker system is powered on (refer to steps above).
- Ensure the volume is turned up to an audible listening level.
- Verify all cables are plugged into the correct jacks.
- Often, sound issues stem from the audio source. Ensure the speakers are connected to the correct audio output jack on your computer (often green). Confirm your media device (CD/DVD player, etc.) is playing and software volume settings are up and not muted.
- If problems persist, disconnect the speaker source cable from your computer and connect to a smartphone, iPod, or any device with a 3.5mm headphone output. If the speakers work with this alternative source, the issue likely lies with your computer or its connections.
Symptom: Sound is distorted.
- Solution:
- Reduce the volume by 25% or 50%. If distortion continues, check and reduce the audio software volume level.
- Adjust the computer's master volume control to 50%, then fine-tune volume using the speaker controls.
- Adjust the bass volume control to test maximum and minimum output. Moving the subwoofer closer or farther from a wall or corner may also affect sound performance.
