Installation and Connection
Connection
Diagram illustrates connecting an HDMI video source (e.g., DVD, PC) to the splitter's HDMI INPUT port using an HDMI cable. The splitter's four HDMI OUTPUT ports are then connected to display devices via HDMI cables. The diagram also shows the DC 5V power input.
Connection Instruction
- Connect the HDMI video source output port to the splitter's input port using an HDMI cable.
- Connect the splitter's output ports to HDMI displays using HDMI cables.
- Set the TV input to the correct HDMI channel.
- Power on the splitter; the power indicator will light up.
Operation
Before outputting HDMI signals, the splitter reads the EDID (Extended Display Identification Data) information from the connected TVs and sends it back to the HDMI source, allowing the source to determine the appropriate output mode.
Indicator LEDs show the working status.
The splitter has 16 built-in EDID modes selectable via a 4-position dial switch. The switch positions (0 or 1) correspond to specific EDID settings, including resolution, audio channels, HDR support, and EDID copy modes.
The EDID Dial Switch table lists 16 configurations based on 4 switches (SW1, SW2, SW3, SW4). Each configuration specifies video resolution (e.g., 4K@60Hz, 1080p@60Hz), audio channels (2CH, 7.1CH), HDR support, and special modes like 'Copy Once', 'MIX1', 'MIX2', 'MIX3'. 'Copy Once' reads EDID from the first connected output only. 'MIX1' selects the lowest audio and video format. 'MIX2' selects the highest audio format and downscales video. 'MIX3' selects the lowest audio format and downscales video.
Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)
Q: No image output?
A: 1. Check the splitter's power supply; ensure the power light is on. 2. Verify that HDMI cables are connected securely. 3. Confirm the TV is set to the correct HDMI input channel. 4. When connecting with a PC or notebook via HDMI, ensure the output mode is set to 'mirror' or 'extend'.
