Product Overview

The Philips Bodygroom is designed for body hair trimming and shaving. It comes with various comb attachments for different hair lengths.

General Information

Usage Instructions

Charging the Appliance

  1. Ensure the appliance is off.
  2. Connect the charging cord to the appliance.
  3. Plug the supply unit into a wall socket. The charging indicator will illuminate.
  4. Charging times:
    • BG3005, BG3010, BG3011: 8 hours
    • BG3015, BG3016, BG5020: 1 hour
  5. Operating times on a full charge:
    • BG3005: 40 minutes
    • BG3010, BG3011, BG3015, BG3016: 50 minutes
    • BG5020: 60 minutes

Trimming with Comb Attachments

The appliance can be used for body grooming. Do not use it on the face (e.g., for facial shaving or trimming near eyes/ears).

  1. Select the desired comb attachment (3mm, 5mm, or 7mm) based on the desired hair length.
  2. Attach the comb to the shaving head. Ensure it clicks into place.
  3. Turn on the appliance.
  4. Move the appliance against the direction of hair growth for effective trimming.
  5. The appliance can be used on dry skin or in the shower. Do not use it while showering if the comb attachment is not securely in place.

Shaving without Comb Attachment

For a close shave, remove the comb attachment.

  1. Ensure the appliance is clean and the shaving head is intact.
  2. Turn on the appliance.
  3. Move the appliance gently over the skin. It can be used on dry skin or in the shower.
  4. Do not use the appliance on irritated skin or open wounds.

Using the Flexible Handle (BG5020 only)

The BG5020 model features a flexible handle for extended reach, particularly for back grooming.

  1. Unlock the handle by rotating the locking mechanism.
  2. Extend the handle to the desired length.
  3. Use the appliance to groom hard-to-reach areas like the back.
  4. After use, fold the handle back and lock it in place.

Cleaning and Maintenance

Cleaning the Appliance

  1. After each use, turn off the appliance and unplug it if charging.
  2. Remove the shaving head by pressing the release buttons and pulling it off.
  3. Rinse the shaving head and the appliance body under running tap water. Ensure all hair clippings are removed.
  4. Shake off excess water and allow the parts to air dry completely before reattaching the shaving head or storing.

Replacing the Shaving Head

The shaving head should be replaced approximately every 12 months for optimal performance, or sooner if it shows signs of wear or damage.

  1. Turn off the appliance.
  2. Remove the old shaving head by pressing the release buttons and pulling it off.
  3. Take a new Philips TT2000 replacement shaving head from its packaging.
  4. Align the new shaving head with the appliance body and press it down until it clicks into place.

Recycling and Disposal

Product Disposal

The crossed-out wheeled bin symbol indicates that this product shall not be disposed of with normal household waste (Directive 2012/19/EU). Follow your country's rules for the separate collection of electrical and electronic products. Correct disposal helps prevent negative consequences for the environment and human health.

Battery Disposal

The symbol with a crossed-out wheeled bin and a battery indicates that this product contains a built-in rechargeable battery which shall not be disposed of with normal household waste (Directive 2006/66/EC). Take your product to an official collection point or a Philips service center to have a professional remove the rechargeable battery. Follow your country's rules for the separate collection of rechargeable batteries. Correct disposal helps prevent negative consequences for the environment and human health.

Removing the Rechargeable Battery for Disposal

Only remove the rechargeable battery when you discard the product. Before removal, ensure the product is disconnected from the wall socket and the battery is completely empty.

Take any necessary safety precautions when handling tools to open the product and when disposing of the rechargeable battery.

  1. Check for screws on the back or front of the appliance. If present, remove them.
  2. Remove the back and/or front panel of the appliance with a screwdriver. If necessary, also remove additional screws and/or parts until you see the printed circuit board with the rechargeable battery.
  3. Remove the rechargeable battery.
