Note: Charge the Touch E3 for at least one hour before pairing the devices already mounted.
Connecting to Touch E3
The Touch E3 can manage up to 50 rooms (zones) with one master radiator in each room, and up to 50 slave radiators distributed among the masters.
Examples:
- a) 50 zones with 1 master and 1 slave in each, total 100 radiators
- b) 1 zone with 1 master and 50 slaves, total 51 radiators
It is recommended to limit the number of slaves to 10 in one zone.

Wall mounting
Connect the power supply as described below. Electrical installation must comply with local/national regulations. Connection should be made by a qualified electrician.
Step 1: Screw the power supply onto the wall. Ensure the tab is located at the top. (Dimensions: 60 MM)
Step 2: Put the switch into the ON position using a small pin.
Step 3: Mount the Touch E3 onto the power supply and slide it down until it stops. The Touch E3 is now ready for use.
Table installation
Step 1: Connect the mini USB cable and charger to the Touch E3.
Step 2: Mount the Touch E3 onto the bracket by sliding it down until it stops.
Step 3: Put the switch into the ON position using a small pin. The Touch E3 is now ready for use.

General Pictograms
- 🏠 To return to the "Start screen"
- ↩︎ To return to the previous screen
- Buttons with a red dot require a long press.
Setting Language, Time and Date
- Press "Main menu" button A.
- Press "Set language" button D. The flag of the current language is displayed.
- Press "User settings" button F to set the current time and date.
Create House
- Press "Main menu" button A.
- Press the "Parameter settings" button I (long press).
- Press the "House creation" button.
- Create all the rooms (or zones).
Room Menu Labels:
- a: Current room name
- b: To change the current room name
- c: To add a room
- d: To delete the current room
- e: Room selection
Pairing Radiators
- Press "Main menu" button A.
- Press the "Parameter setting" button I (long press).
- Select radio pairing.
- Choose device, press "Heating".
- Select room.
Confirmation:
- Press "Green check" button to confirm.
- Device (Radiator or Remote Control) to measure the temperature must be paired first in this zone.
- Press "Green check" button to confirm.
- Put the device (radiator or remote control) in pairing mode. See device leaflet or manual.
Example:
Press and hold the "OK" key for 5 seconds for Wireless Radio Initialisation (pairing). Press "OK" to enter this initialisation sequence.
Select communication type with "+" or "-" and validate by pressing "OK":
- rF.un: Unidirectional communication; thermostat receives orders from an RF central programmer.
- rF.bi: Bidirectional communication; thermostat communicates state and power consumption to the Touch E3.
The backlight will switch off, and digits will cycle, showing the thermostat is waiting for a radio link signal. Press "◀" to cancel radio initialisation. When the signal is received, pairing is saved, and it returns to Auto mode.
Installation Types (Type 1)
TOUCH E3 controls a MASTER radiator, which can in turn control SLAVE 1 and SLAVE 2 radiators.
Define a Mode to a Zone/Room
- From the "Start screen", press "Home" button B.
- Press "Current mode" button 3 (See "Heating Device Management" section, p 15).
- Press the desired mode button (g Comfort, h Auto, i Reduced, j Timer, k Frost protection, m Off).
- Press the "Green check" button 4.
Mode Descriptions:
- Comfort mode: Sets the comfort temperature.
- Auto mode: Room temperature follows the selected program.
- Reduced mode: Sets the reduced temperature.
- Timer mode: Define time and temperature. Press the "Black hour glass" button to define time, then "White hour glass" button to define temperature.
- Frost protection mode: Sets the frost protection temperature.
- Off mode: Radiators do not heat. WARNING: Water pipes may freeze. Radiators are still connected to electrical supply.
- Program Setting: Selects the program for Auto mode.
Defining Temperatures for Each Zone
- From the "Start screen", press "Home" button B.
- Press "Current mode" button 3.
- Press the "Comfort" or "Reduced" button.
- Press "Green check" button 4 to confirm.
- Press "+" or "-" to set the temperature.
- Press "Heating" button 1 to save the temperature.
- Press arrows 2 to change room or button 9 to see all rooms. Repeat from step 02.
Define Weekly Program for Each Room
You can SELECT a pre-defined program, CREATE a new program, or EDIT an existing program.
TO SELECT:
- From the "Start screen", press "Home" button B.
- Press arrows 2 to change room or button 9 to see all rooms.
- Press "Current mode" button 3.
- Press "Program Setting" button m.
- Press "Select" to choose from 5 pre-defined programs.
- Press "Green check" button 4 to select.
- Warning sign: press "Green check" button 4.
- Press the "back" button.
- Press the "clock" button.
- Press "Green check" button 4.
TO CREATE:
- From the "Start screen", press "Home" button B.
- Press arrows 2 to change room or button 9 to see all rooms.
- Press "Current mode" button 3.
- Press "Program Setting" button m.
- Press "Create" to define your own program.
- Select days to program. Day status: Red (not programmed), Grey (selected), Green (programmed).
- Initially, reduced mode is set for 24h (15-minute periods). Press "Comfort" or "Reduced" buttons to create the program. Use arrow buttons 2 to move the cursor.
- Press "Green check" button 4 to confirm days and repeat for all days.
- Once all days are green, press "Green check" button 4.
- Warning sign: press "Green check" button 4.
- Press the "back" button.
- Press the "clock" button.
- Press "Green check" button 4 to confirm.
TO EDIT:
- From the "Start screen", press "Home" button B.
- Press "Current mode" button 3.
- Press "Program Setting" button m.
- Press "Edit" button.
- Select the day to change.
- Make desired changes.
- Press "Green check" button 4.
- Warning sign: press "Green check" button 4. Repeat from step 04 if needed.
- Press the "back" button.
- Press the "clock" button.
- Press "Green check" button 4 to confirm.
FOR USERS
Start Up Screen
- K Day and date.
- L Displays time or temperature of a selected room. Change by pressing the temp/time value and choosing the desired room's temperature.
- M Screen lock. Enter default code "1066" or configured code.
- N Error indicator (visible when active). Access list by pressing the icon.
- O Powered by battery (visible when disconnected). Connect to power supply during normal use.
- B House/Rooms access (view only when screen is locked).
- P Holiday mode (visible when active).
- A To access "Main menu".
Main Menu
- C Consumption statistics menu: Press "heating" to check consumption per day/week/month/year. Press "information button" for graphical display. Press "trash can" button (long press) to delete history.
- D Language setting.
- E Mode menu: Set all radiators to the same mode. Press button until desired mode appears. Press "Green check" button. It may take minutes for units to receive new information.
- F User settings: Set Date and time, Summer/Winter time, Temperature/Time units, Background/Button colour, Backlight, Screen, WiFi, Reset to factory settings.
- H Holiday mode: Define time and date of departure and return. Define mode for whole installation. Press "Green check" button.
Installation (House creation menu)

Other Functions
- Delete a device: Press "Delete a device", then "heating" button. Use arrows to scroll and select device. Press "Green check" to confirm. Note: To ensure correct device deletion, identify it first. If the first device in a room is deleted, all devices in that room will be deleted.
- Delete all devices: Press "Delete all devices", then "Green check" to confirm or "Red cross" to decline.
- Identify a device: Press "Identify a device", then "Radio button". Make the device send a radio message. Note the ID-number. Repeat to confirm accuracy.
- Edit device information/settings (long press button with red dot): Device name, Power, Set front panel max surface temperature level, Heating rate maximum level. Select P1, P2, or P3 (first radiator must have same or higher value). Press "Green check" to confirm. For double radiators, change to sequential control. Select "No" (default) for even heating, "Yes" for sequential heating. Press "Green check" to confirm.
- Screen lock: Press "Screen lock" button. Enter 4-character code. Press "Green check" to confirm. Default code: 1066.
- Heating settings: Set Minimum and Maximum allowed temperatures per room. Press "Heating Settings" button, then a room button.
- WiFi settings (See "WiFi settings" section, p 18).
- General factory default: All data erased except WiFi settings. Press Red "Reset" button (long press), then "Green check" to confirm or "Red cross" to decline.
- Update firmware: Insert SD card with new firmware. Press "Update firmware", then "Green check" to confirm or "Red cross" to decline.
WIFI SETTINGS
Connect the Touch E3 to Your WiFi
- Press "Main menu" button A.
- Press "Parameter setting" button I (long press).
- Select "WiFi settings" button.
You can enter WiFi settings manually or perform a WiFi scan.
Perform a WiFi scan:
- Press "Research networks" button. Repeat if necessary.
- Select your desired WiFi network.
- Select encryption type (e.g., WEP, WPA).
- Enter key code / password.
Enter the WiFi setting manually:
- Enter your WiFi network name (SSID).
- Select encryption type (e.g., WEP, WPA).
- Enter key code / password.
A green flag indicates a successful WiFi connection. The "Reset" button (long press) can reinitialise WiFi settings.
Access to Touch E3 via PC
- Access TOUCH E3 from http://www.lvi.eu/clevertouch (or http://www.lvifrance.fr/clevertouch in France).
- Create an account.
- Validate your email.
A pairing code (valid 24h) will be sent to your email. Enter this code in the Touch E3 "WiFi menu" under "Internet access password". A green flag indicates connection.
Access to Touch E3 via Smartphone
- Download the free App "CLEVER TOUCH" from Appstore or Google play.
- Create an account.
- Validate your email.
A pairing code (valid 24h) will be sent to your email. Enter this code in the Touch E3 "WiFi menu" under "Internet access password". A green flag indicates connection.
Connecting to the app creates data traffic: 0.4-1.1 GB/month for Touch E3 alone, increasing to 1.5-2.2 GB/month if continuously logged in. Log out when not in use if data traffic is a concern.
