Installation Instructions Outline

This outline provides a high-level summary of installing the Pro Display touchscreen device. It can be mounted on a wall or a flat surface. For best results, place the display near the control hub for a strong Wi-Fi connection.

To mount the display on a desk/table top:

Note: Requires the desktop mount back plate with built-in power supply.

  1. Determine installation location (near an unswitched wall outlet).
  2. Remove tape from backup battery wire and insert the battery connector.
  3. Place the display on the desktop mount back plate. Align clasps, push unit flush, then slide down to secure. Power connectors will make contact.
  4. Power on the display by plugging in the power supply. Pair the display to the hub and add it to the network (see procedure below).

To mount the display on the wall:

  1. Determine installation location (near an unswitched wall outlet).
  2. Use the wall mount back plate to mark screw holes and wiring access. Drill the wiring hole, being careful of pipes/electrical and ensuring a strong Wi-Fi signal to the hub.
  3. Route the power supply cable from the outlet to the mounting location, pushing wires into the back plate's terminal plug (polarity not required).
  4. Attach the back plate to the wall using provided screws (use anchors if necessary).
  5. Remove tape from backup battery wire and insert the battery connector.
  6. Power on the display by plugging in the power supply. Pair the display to the hub and add it to the network (see procedure below).
  7. Place the display on the back plate. Align clasps, push unit flush, then slide down to secure.

Pairing the Pro Display to the Smart Hub (Adding it to the Network / System)

Before the display functions as a system interface, it must be paired wirelessly to the hub and connected to the local network.

  1. Power on the display near the hub.
  2. At the Setup screen, press the button icon, then press and hold the '0' button on the hub keypad. The hub LED light bar will flash white (AP mode).
  3. At the Hub Found screen, press the button icon. Enter the provided PIN at the keypad to connect to the hub. Select the home Wi-Fi network and enter the password. The display and hub will exchange credentials, disconnect, and then connect to the local network as paired devices.
  4. Once connected, the display configures and boots to the Home screen with full functionality (this may take a few minutes).
  5. The Home screen displays system status, monitoring, and interaction capabilities similar to the hub.

These limits provide reasonable protection against harmful interference in residential installations. This equipment generates, uses, and can radiate radio frequency energy. If not installed and used per instructions, it may cause harmful interference to radio communications. Interference is not guaranteed not to occur in a particular installation. If interference occurs, try correcting it by:

  • Reorienting or relocating the receiving antenna.
  • Increasing separation between the equipment and the receiver.
  • Connecting the equipment to an outlet on a different circuit than the receiver.
  • Consulting the dealer or an experienced radio/television technician.

FCC (U.S.) Radiation Exposure Statement: This equipment complies with FCC radiation exposure limits set forth for an uncontrolled environment. This equipment should be installed and operated with minimum distance 20 cm between the radiator and your body.

IC (Canada) Radiation Exposure Statement: This equipment complies with ISED radiation exposure limits set forth for an uncontrolled environment. This equipment should be installed and operated with greater than 30 cm between the radiator and your body.
