Assembly Mechanisms

Using Cam Lock and Quickfit

This section details the primary connection methods used in the assembly.

Quickfit Mechanism

Instruction: Tighten the quickfit until its shoulder is flush with the panel. Do not overtighten or undertighten.

Cam Lock Mechanism

Instruction: When fitting the cam lock, ensure the starting position is correct before you insert the connecting quickfit. The quickfit head should be in the centre of the cam lock when the two panels are joined. The cam lock should be inserted before the quickfit.

Instruction: Turn the cam lock clockwise to tighten.

Step-by-Step Assembly

Step 1: Assemble Base and Sides

Attach the side panels (Part 2) to the base panel (Part 1).

Action: Insert hardware 'A' into the designated holes on the base panel. Align the side panels with the base. Secure the side panels using hardware 'B' (cam locks) and tighten them. Use hardware 'K' (M4*12 screws) to secure the cam lock pins (D) into the side panels. Attach metal brackets (G) and hinges (H) to the side panels using hardware 'E' (M4*14 screws). Use hardware 'F' (M4*12 screws) for additional securing points as indicated in the diagrams.

Step 2: Attach Front and Back Panels

Attach the front panel (Part 4) and back panel (Part 6) to the assembled base and sides.

Action: Align the front panel (Part 4) and back panel (Part 6) with the existing structure. Insert hardware 'A' into the designated holes. Secure using hardware 'B' (cam locks) and tighten them. Use hardware 'E' (M4*14 screws) to attach hinges (H) to the front panel. Use hardware 'J' (M3*12 screws) for additional securing points on the front panel.

Step 3: Attach Top Panel

Secure the top panel (Part 3) to the assembled structure.

Action: Place the top panel (Part 3) on top of the assembled crate. Align the cam lock pins (D) on the top panel with the corresponding cam lock housings (B) on the side and front/back panels. Turn the cam locks clockwise to secure the top panel. Use hardware 'C' (M4*12 screws) to secure the cam lock pins into the top panel.

Step 4: Attach Door and Final Details

Install the doors and any remaining small parts.

Action: Attach the doors (integrated into Part 4 and Part 5) to the hinges (H) previously installed on the front and side panels. Use hardware 'I' (small metal plates) to secure the doors. Ensure the doors open and close smoothly. The Allen key (L) may be used for any final tightening if required.

Step 5: Insert Base Tray

Complete the assembly by inserting the base support/tray (Part 8).

Action: Slide the base support/tray (Part 8) into the designated slot at the bottom of the crate. Ensure it is fully inserted.
