LTEC D12 Decoder LED Controller

Overview
D12 is a 12-channel DMX512/RDM LED decoder designed for high-power, multi-channel LED applications, with configurable DMX channel modes, PWM frequency, dimming curves, and built-in protection features.
Quick Setup & Use
- Connect LED drivers to the green terminals and verify the correct wiring for your LED configuration.
- Connect DMX/RDM input/output using one of the supported DMX interfaces (3-pin XLR, RJ45, or green terminal).
- Apply power with 12–24Vdc.
- Use the OLED screen and 3 buttons to set the DMX address (range 001~512), PWM frequency, number of DMX channels (CH01/CH02/CH03/CH04/CH08/CH12), grey level (8bit/16bit), and dimming curve (standard/linear/LOG or 0.1~9.9).
- Select the operation type in the menu: DMX master mode or decoder mode.
- If needed, perform quick self-testing by pressing the relevant keys simultaneously for 2–3 seconds on any page.
- (Optional) Use RDM master control to browse/set parameters, including DMX address settings and equipment recognition.
Product introduction
- Designed for Hi-power multiple channels application, 12-channel output, and Max. 5A current per channel, up to 1440W output power.

- DMX Control Mode
- If the recoil effect occurs because of a longer signal line or bad line quality, please try to connect 0.25W 90-120Ω terminal resistor at the end of each line.
- The connection diagram of 3 kinds of DMX/RDM terminals:
- Installation attention: please reserve enough ventilation distance between decoders (> 20 mm), and be sure not to block the vent, or it will affect the lifetime of the decoder due to poor heat dissipation.
- The connection diagram of the AMP signal amplifier terminal:
- Connecting with a green terminal or an extra amplifier will be needed when more than 32 decoders are connected or use overlong signal wire (as shown below).
- The signal amplifier should not be used continuously for more than 5 times.

Load Parameters
At different PWM frequencies and different voltages, the max. load current and the total power of each channel vary. Before you do the wiring, please strictly follow the load parameters in the table below to operate.

Attention
- Product installation and commissioning should be done by a qualified professional.
- Our company’s products are not lightning-proof or waterproof (special models excepted). Please avoid the sun and rain.
- When installed outdoors, please ensure they are mounted in a waterproof enclosure or in an area equipped with lightning protection devices.
- Good heat dissipation will prolong the working life of products. Please ensure good ventilation.
- Please check if the working voltage used complies with the parameter requirements of products.
- The diameter of the wire used must be able to handle the load of the light fixtures you connect and ensure firm wiring.
- Before you power on the products, please make sure all the wiring is correct, as an incorrect connection that causes damage to the light fixtures.
- If a fault occurs, please do not attempt to fix products by yourself. If you have any questions, please contact your suppliers.

Troubleshooting
- No/unstable output during DMX use: Ensure the DMX signal line quality is good. If “recoil effect” occurs due to longer or poor-quality signal lines, connect a 0.25W 90–120Ω terminal resistor at the end of each line.
- Excess heat or fault behavior: The unit provides overheat/over-current/short-circuit protection and can recover automatically when faults clear. Verify ventilation and avoid blocking the vent to prevent poor heat dissipation.
- DMX/RDM signal issues with many decoders: If more than 32 decoders are connected or when using overlong signal wiring, use the green terminal signal amplifier function or an extra amplifier. The signal amplifier should not be used continuously for more than 5 times.
- Cannot set/recognize parameters via RDM: Use the RDM master console functions such as equipment recognition and parameter browsing/settings (including DMX address settings).
- Fault occurs, and you see a warning: Do not attempt to repair the product yourself; contact your supplier.
