1. Ensure the battery is installed and the battery compartment cover is closed.

• Ensure the grass collection bag is removed and the mulching plug is securely inserted into the rear discharge opening.
• The mower will finely cut grass clippings and return them to the lawn as natural fertilizer.
• Mulching is most effective on dry grass and when only removing a small amount of grass height.

• Remove the grass collection bag and the mulching plug.
• Lift the side discharge cover and insert the side discharge chute.
• The mower will eject clippings from the side. This is useful for taller grass or when collection is not desired.

• To engage the self-propel, press the self-propel lever (usually located on the handle).
