StarryStarry DashModem / gateway · Webhttp://192.168.99.1 (opens in a new tab)No username requiredPassword on the device label

First whole-brand coverage of Starry's fixed-wireless gateway line. Starry's own support site states: "Log in using the Administrator Username and Password printed on the side of your router," adding: "The first time you log in, you will be prompted to create a new Administrative password... or select 'Skip' to keep it as the default."

Recovery & reset instructions

Factory reset: press and hold the Reset button on the back of the Dash for 10 seconds until the power LED blinks; it reboots within about 3 minutes and reverts to the default WiFi name/password on the label. To log in: connect to the Dash's WiFi, browse to 192.168.99.1, and enter the Administrator Username and Password printed on the label on the side of the router. First login prompts you to create a new administrative password (you can select 'Skip' to keep the default).

StarryStarry Dash+Modem / gateway · Webhttp://192.168.1.1 (opens in a new tab)No username requiredPassword on the device label

A newer-generation sibling of this run's Starry Dash, on a different default gateway IP. Starry Support states: "Open any browser and type 192.168.1.1 into the URL bar and hit enter. NOTE: This default IP address will be printed on the sticker on the right side of the Dash. The first time you log in, you will be prompted to create a new Administrative password."

Recovery & reset instructions

Connect to the Dash+'s WiFi, open a browser, go to 192.168.1.1, and log in with the Administrator Username and Password printed on the sticker on the right side of the device. First login prompts creation of a new administrative password; to change it afterward use the menu icon (top right) > Maintenance > User Account > edit pencil icon.

StarryStarry LaunchModem / gateway · Webhttp://192.168.99.1 (opens in a new tab)No username requiredPassword on the device label

A third Starry hardware tier in this run, documenting a second non-static auth path: Starry Support states: "To access via IP address: ... Open any browser and go to 192.168.99.1 ... Use the administrative log in information printed on the bottom of your Launch," and separately documents an app-based path using account credentials created at sign-up.

Recovery & reset instructions

Via IP: connect to the Launch's WiFi, open a browser, go to 192.168.99.1, and log in using the administrative credentials printed on the bottom of the Launch. Via app: connect to the Launch's WiFi, install the Starry App, and sign in with the account credentials created at signup (use 'Forgot Password' if needed).

How to reach your router

  1. Connect your computer or phone to the router’s Wi-Fi or an Ethernet port.
  2. Open a documented login address. If it does not load, look for the Router or Default gateway address in your device’s network settings.
  3. Match your model and hardware revision to the table. Use the device label or your setup password when the model has no shared default.

Admin password or Wi-Fi password?

The admin password opens the router’s settings. The Wi-Fi password connects a device to the wireless network. They may be different, and an ISP or cloud account can be separate again.

If the password does not work

Check capitalization and the device label, then use the manufacturer’s password-recovery instructions. A factory reset erases settings and may require ISP setup details; follow the instructions for your exact model.
