INSTALLATION
WARNING
For added protection mount the fixtures in areas outside walking paths, seating areas or in areas were the fixture might be reached by unauthorized personnel.
Before mounting the fixture to any surface, make sure that the installation area can gold a minimum point load of 10 times the device’s weight. Fixture installation must always be secured with secondary safety attachment, such as an appropriate safety cable.
Never stand directly below the device when mounting, removing or servicing the fixture from a ceiling, or set on a flat level surface (see illustration). Be sure this fixture is kept at least 0.5 m (1.5 ft) away from any flammable materials (decoration etc.).
Always use and install the supplied safety cable as a safety measure to prevent accidental damage and/or injury in the event the clamps fails.
Mounting points
Overhead mounting requires extensive experience including amongst other calculating working load limits, a fine knowledge if the installation material being used, and periodic safety inspection of all installation material and the fixture. If you lack these qualifications, do not attempt the installation yourself. Improper installation can result in bodily injury. Be sure to complete all rigging and installation procedures before connecting the main power cord to the appropriate wall outlet.
Clamp mounting:
Frame Par 7×12 provides a unique mounting bracket assembly that integrates the bottoms of the base, and the safety cable rigging point in one unite (see illustration). When mounting this fixture to truss be sure to secure an appropriately rated clamps to the included omega bracket using a M10 screw fitted through the center hole of the handle. As an added safety measure be sure to attached at least on properly rated safety cable to the fixture using on of the safety cable rigging point integrated in the base assembly.
DMX CONNECTIONS
Connect the included XLR/DMX cable to the output on the DMX controller, the other end to the signal input “DMX IN”, this way you can connect several devices in one chain. The cable should be a two-wire shielded cable with XLR connectors and 110Ohm impedance. When connecting devices, check the diagram below. You can attach a DMX terminator to the last device in the chain to reduce signal interference.
In installations where long cables are used that are susceptible to electrical noise, use splitters and boosters and DMX terminators. It helps prevent signal distortion. DMX terminator is an XLR plug with a3 resistor soldered in between pins 2 and 3, which is placed in the DMX output of the last device in the chain. Please refer to the illustrations below.

Maintenance and cleaning
Keep the device clean so that dust, dirt and smoke residue do not remain on or in the device. Otherwise, the performance of the device may be significantly reduced or the device itself may be damaged, e.g. from overheating. Regular cleaning helps to keep the device bright and functioning properly. To clean, use a damp lint-free cloth with a little glass cleaner. Do not use solvents or alcohol to clean the device.
CAUTION
Disconnect the unit from the power supply before any cleaning or maintenance!
The lenses need to be cleaned weekly so that the amount of light coming out is not reduced. Fans should be cleaned once a month. The inside of the unit should be cleaned at least once a year using a hoover or compressed air. To remove dirt and dust from the fans use a soft brush and hoover.
Important! Check the air filters regularly and clean them before they get dirty and blocked. The device has two air filters in the head body and two in the base. Clean them with hoover, compressed air or wash and reinsert them after drying.
Fuse replacement
Disconnect the power supply before replacing the fuse.
- Remove the fuse cover located on the rear panel of the base using a screwdriver.
- Remove the old fuse from its holder.
- Install a new fuse (use only fuses of identical rating).
- Tighten the fuse cover.
WARNING! THE DEVICE MUST NOT BE DISPOSED OF WITH HOUSEHOLD WASTE.
This symbol indicates that this product must not be disposed of with household waste, according to the EU and your national law. In order to prevent potential damage to the environment or health, the used product must be recycled. In accordance with current legislation, unusable electrical and electronic devices must be collected separately at the designated facilities for recycling, acting on the basis of applicable environmental standards.
Information about used electrical and electronic equipment
The main goal of European and national law regulations is to reduce the amount of waste produced from used electrical and electronic equipment, to ensure an appropriate level of collection, recovery and recycling of used equipment, and to increase public awareness of its harmfulness to the environment, at each stage of use of electrical and electronic equipment. Therefore, it should be pointed out that households play a key role in contributing to reuse and recovery, including recycling of used equipment. The user of electrical and electronic equipment – intended for households – is obliged to return it to authorized collector after its use. However, it should be remembered that products classified as electrical or electronic equipment should be disposed of at authorized collection points.
