4. Operation Instructions
4.1 Interface Introduction
The main interface displays the following information:
- Test range: Indicates the type of measurement (e.g., Resistance, Capacitance).
- Test voltage/frequency: Shows the current test voltage and frequency settings.
- Battery level: Displays the remaining battery charge.
- Measurement parameters: Shows the primary measured value (e.g., resistance value).
- Data hold: Indicates if the current measurement is being held.
- Units: Displays the units of the measured value (e.g., kΩ, mF).
- Auxiliary measurement parameters: Shows secondary parameters like Rs or Q factor.
4.2 Installation Instructions for Test Probe
- Align the test probe with the mounting hole on the measuring arm. Ensure the serrated side of the test probe faces the inner side of the tweezers.
- Insert the test probe into the measuring arm.
- Rotate the screw to tighten and secure the test probe.
Removal is performed in the reverse order. The measuring arm is not detachable.
4.3 Operation Instructions
- Power On/Off: Short press the Power Button (Ⓟ) to power on. Long press the Power Button (Ⓟ) to power off. Upon powering on, use the Dial Button (Ω) to select the language (Chinese or English) and press the Confirm/Exit Button (⇦) to confirm.
- Main Parameter Selection: Use the Dial Button (Ω) to scroll left or right to switch between automatic measurement, resistance, capacitance, inductance, and diode measurement modes.
- Test Voltage Level Selection: Press the Confirm/Exit Button (⇦) to switch to the voltage level selection area. Then, use the Dial Button (Ω) to scroll left or right to select between 0.3V and 0.6V test voltages.
- Test Frequency Selection: Press the Confirm/Exit Button (⇦) to switch to the frequency selection area. Then, use the Dial Button (Ω) to scroll left or right to select between 100 Hz, 1 kHz, and 10 kHz test frequencies.
Note on Frequency: LCR meters use AC test signals for impedance measurement. Frequency is a key parameter. Different test frequencies may yield different measurement results for the same component due to non-idealities and distributed parameters.
- Short Circuit Zeroing: Select the desired test frequency. Insert a short-circuit piece into the test socket (or short the test terminals if using SMD test tweezers or clips). Short press the Power Button (Ⓟ) to enter zeroing mode. The instrument will automatically perform zeroing after identification.
- Data Hold: Short press the Dial Button (Ω) to hold the current measurement. The data hold icon [1] will appear on the screen. Data is also automatically saved to an Excel file when connected via USB.
- Continuity: In diode mode, if the measured resistance is less than 50 Ω, the continuity function is triggered.
- Settings Page: Long press the Dial Button (Ω) to enter system settings. Use the Dial Button (Ω) to navigate between primary and secondary menus. Press the Confirm/Exit Button (⇦) to enter or exit secondary menus. Settings include:
- Language: Switch system display language (Chinese, English).
- Volume: Adjust system volume (0-5 levels).
- Backlight: Adjust screen brightness (0-100).
- Auto Power Off: Set automatic shutdown timer (Off, 5, 15, 30 minutes).
- Restore: Reset all settings to factory defaults.
- About: View system information, including model and version number.
5. Firmware Upgrade
- Ensure the device is powered off. Long press both the Dial Button (Ω) and the Power Button (Ⓟ) to enter the firmware upgrade page.
- Connect the device to a computer using a data transfer cable (Type-C).
- A file folder will automatically appear on the computer. Drag and drop the firmware file into this folder.
- Once the upgrade is complete, the device will automatically restart.
6. Precautions
- Ensure good contact between the tweezer tips and the component under test to avoid measurement errors.
- Do not measure under live conditions to prevent damage to the instrument.
- Online measurements are not recommended due to the influence of external PCBA connections. Measurement values obtained online are for reference only and do not guarantee accuracy.
- The automatic mode does not support diode measurements. Automatically detected component types are for reference only and may be inaccurate in special cases.
- Discharge capacitors before measurement to prevent damage to the instrument.
