4. Remove the old batteries from the compartment, paying attention to the correct polarity.
5. Insert the new CR123A batteries into the compartment, ensuring they are placed correctly according to the polarity markings inside the enclosure.
6. After replacing the batteries, run a self-test using the AJAX app or by pressing the Test/Mute button on the detector to verify correct operation.
7. If the self-test is successful, the detector is ready for use with the new batteries.
