1. Install Ground Mounting Post: The PP200 Post is designed to slip over a Mounting Post made from a standard 4x4 wooden post (actual dimensions are 3.5 x 3.5 inches). The Mounting Post should be set 24 inches in the ground and 24 inches above ground.
2. Assemble PP200 Post:
- Slide the Cross Arm into the opening in the Vertical Post, leaving 17 inches of the Cross Arm extending in front (mailbox side) of the Vertical Post.
- Secure the Cross Arm into place using (2) #12 x 1 Self Drilling Screws where it intersects with the Vertical Post.
- Attach the Post Cap clips to the Post and Cross Arm for the End Caps and Top Finial installation. Use (2) Clips per post end application.
- Slip on the End Caps and Finial caps for secure installation.
- Secure the PP200 Assembly to the Mounting Post using (4) #12 x 1 Self Drilling Screws with white heads.
3. Mailbox Mounting Brackets and Mailbox:
- Align your Mailbox on top of the Cross Arm and mark the front and back locations of the mailbox mounting holes.
- Secure the U-brackets to the Cross Arm at the pre-marked locations with #8 Self Drilling screws.
- Set the Mailbox on top of the U-Brackets and align the Mailbox holes with the U-Bracket holes on the Side of the Mailbox or through the Base/Floor of the mailbox.
- Secure the Mailbox to the U-brackets with #10-24 threaded screws and nuts.
4. Double Mount Option: If you wish to support two mailboxes, push the Cross Arm through the Vertical Post so that approximately 12 inches extend on both sides. You will need a separately purchased Mailbox Mounting Board for each mailbox for a double-mount configuration.
