1. **Turn on the Card Reader:** Press and hold the power button on the NYC1/NYC1-SCR until the device powers on.
2. **Connect to PC:** Attach the Card Reader to a PC via a USB cable. The device will create a virtual COM port. Check the device manager on the PC to identify the connected port.
3. **Run Special Application:** Launch the special application on the PC. Press the "Search" button on the app to view all available COM ports on the right side. Select the port to which the device is connected, then press "Connect to device."
4. **Pair with Mobile Device:** On your mobile device equipped with Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) 4.2, navigate to Bluetooth settings and select to connect to the NYC1/NYC1-SCR. A passkey will be displayed on the mobile device screen.
5. **Confirm Pairing:** The white LEDs on the Card Reader will start to light up one by one. Ensure the passkey displayed on the special app matches the one on your mobile device. Press the "On/Off" button on the Card Reader twice to confirm the pairing.
6. **Successful Pairing:** Once the devices are successfully paired, the special app will display a message "THE DEVICES ARE CONNECTED."
If the passkey displayed is different or if you need to cancel pairing, press the "On/Off" button once on the Card Reader to cancel the pairing process.
