ដើម្បីគ្រប់គ្រង Thorlabs ELL6(K) Multi-Position Slider with the hand-held controller, follow these steps:
1. Connect the Interface Board to the Slider unit.
2. Connect the Interface Board to the Power Supply. For ELL6, a micro-USB connection with 5V @ 500mA is sufficient. For ELL9 & ELL12, a standalone 5V @ ≥1A supply must be connected before a USB connection.
3. Switch ON the power supply and wait for the stage to power up and go through its homing sequence.
4. To increment the slider position:
- For ELL6: press the FW button.
- For ELL9 & ELL12: press and hold the JOG button, then press the FW button.
5. To decrement the slider position:
- For ELL6: press the BW button.
- For ELL9 and ELL12: press and hold the JOG button, then press the BW button. Note: For ELL6, the JOG button initiates a demo loop.
6. To Home the stage (i.e., go to position 1), press the BW button.

- The PWR LED (LED1) will be lit green when power is applied to the unit, and the INM LED (LED2) will be lit red when the device is in motion.
- Ensure that the power supply and USB connections are made correctly and in the specified order to avoid any issues with controlling the slider.
- Following these steps will allow you to easily control the position of the slider using the hand-held controller provided with the Thorlabs ELL6(K) Multi-Position Slider.
