1. Install the mounting hardware: Each PDU has mounting hole locations on the sides and back. Align and install the mounting buttons with the xxxx holes on the face or sides of the PDU.
2. Choose the desired installation method:
- For vertical PDUs with outlets facing the center of the rack, insert the mounting buttons into the keyhole slots on the PDU mounting bracket in the rack.
- For vertical PDUs with outlets facing the back or front of the rack, insert the mounting buttons into the keyhole slots on the PDU mounting bracket in the rack.
3. For dual-sided PDUs, install them on the sides of the rack with the outlets facing the rear of the cabinet and circuit breakers facing the inside of the cabinet.
4. For 1U PDUs, install them in any 1U location of the rack. The mounting ears can be removed and rotated 180° if needed.
5. For 2U PDUs, install them in any U locations of the rack.
6. Connect the ground bonding cable: Use the external ground bonding point located on the chassis of the PDU. This bonding point can also be used to bond the PDU to a known earthed reference terminal in the building.
7. Connect the PDU to a power source: Make sure the feed circuit breaker is turned off. Connect each PDU to an appropriately rated branch circuit. Turn the feed circuit breaker on.
