1. Install the camera drivers and software from the Orion website. Download the StarShoot Image Capture software, G series direct driver, and G series ASCOM driver.
2. Connect the camera to your telescope's focuser using the appropriate nosepiece (1.25" for StarShoot Mini cameras, 2" for G10 and larger cameras). Make sure to securely tighten the thumbscrew(s) to prevent the camera from falling out.
3. If your telescope has T or C threads for direct camera attachment, unthread the nosepiece from the camera body and thread the camera onto your telescope.
4. Connect the camera to your computer using the USB 3.0 cable. Plug the USB 3.0 cable into an available USB 3.0 port on your computer.
5. For G10 and larger cameras, connect any peripheral devices (such as an autoguider and electronic filter wheel) to the two USB 2.0 ports on the camera.
6. For G10 and larger cameras, connect the DC power adapter and cable to the camera and plug it into an AC outlet. Make sure to use a 12VDC power supply that provides at least 3 amps of current for optimal cooling power.
7. Open the StarShoot Image Capture software on your computer. You should see a main preview window on the right and control options on the left.
8. Click on the camera name at the top of the left-hand side to start a video preview.
