1. Connect the Hub to your Internet router using the included Ethernet cable.
2. Plug in the power adapter to an outlet and attach the power connector to the back of the Hub.

4. Follow the on-screen instructions to continue setting up your Hub.
5. Once the setup is complete, you can start connecting your devices using the free SmartThings app.
Note: It is recommended to install the SmartThings Hub in a central location to ensure optimal connectivity with your SmartThings devices.
If you need to install batteries for the Hub's battery backup feature, follow these additional steps:
1. Disconnect the network cable and power adapter from the Hub.
2. Slide the bottom covers off the Hub.
3. Insert 4 AA batteries into the designated battery compartment.
4. Slide the bottom cover back on until it snaps into place.
