1. Turn on the thermometer by extending the probe.
2. Press and hold the "HOLD" button for a few seconds until the display shows the current temperature unit.
3. Release the "HOLD" button.
4. Press the "HOLD" button again to toggle between Celsius and Fahrenheit.
5. Once the desired temperature unit is displayed, release the "HOLD" button.
The thermometer will now display temperature readings in the selected unit (Celsius or Fahrenheit).
