Product Overview
The Marathon CL030070 Series is a Curved Display LED Clock featuring dual alarms and a USB charging port. It offers programmable snooze duration, variable brightness display control, and includes a universal AC adapter with a backup timekeeping battery.

Section 1: Front View
The front view shows the clock face displaying the time '12:38 PM'. Indicators for 'ALM 1 ON' and 'ALM 2 ON' are visible next to the display.
Section 1: Top View
The top view displays the control buttons: 'SNOOZE', 'ALARM 1', 'ALARM 2', 'DOWN', 'SET', 'DIMMER', 'UP'.
Section 1: Back View
The back view shows the 'USB CHARGING PORT', the 'AC/DC ADAPTOR' input jack, and a compartment for the backup battery. Instructions indicate to 'REMOVE STRIP TO ACTIVATE BATTERY' and 'INSERT DC JACK TO POWER UP YOUR UNIT'.
Section 2: Installation
To install, plug the DC jack into the back of the unit, and then plug the AC/DC adapter into a wall outlet. Your clock is now ready to be set up and used.
Section 3: Backup Battery Installation
Your clock includes one CR2032 lithium battery to provide backup power in case of a temporary power interruption.
- Place your unit face down on a flat surface.
- Pull the clear tab to activate the battery and provide backup power to the clock.
If the AC power is interrupted, the LED display will go off and the alarm will not function. The backup battery will keep the time and all settings. Ensure a fresh CR2032 lithium battery is used. To change the battery, unscrew the battery compartment and install a new battery according to the diagram.
Section 4: Setting the Time and Snooze Duration
Setting the Time
- Press the [SET] button once. The hour digits will flash. Press [UP] or [DOWN] to set the desired hour (hold to advance rapidly through the digits).
- Press the [SET] button again. The minute digits will flash. Press [UP] or [DOWN] to set the desired minutes value (hold to advance rapidly through the digits).
Setting Snooze Duration
- Press the [SET] button again. The snooze duration will show '05' and flash. Press [UP] or [DOWN] to set the snooze duration. The range is from 5 to 60 minutes.
- Press the [SET] button again to exit time setting mode and return to normal display mode. If no buttons are pressed for 10 seconds, the clock will automatically exit.
Section 5: Setting the Alarm Time
- Press the [AL 1.2] button. The [ALARM ICON] (e.g., ⏰) and the hour digits will flash. Press [UP] or [DOWN] to set the desired alarm hour (hold to advance rapidly).
- Press the [AL 1.2] button again. The minute digits will flash. Press [UP] or [DOWN] to set the desired alarm minutes value (hold to advance rapidly).
- Press the [AL 1.2] button again. 'OFF' will appear on the display. Press [UP] or [DOWN] to turn on or turn off the alarm.
- Press the [AL 1.2] button again to set the alarm volume. Press [UP] or [DOWN] to switch between 'HI' (high volume) and 'LO' (low volume).
- Press the [AL 1.2] button again. The second [ALARM ICON] (e.g., ⏰) and the hour digits will flash. Press [UP] or [DOWN] to set the desired alarm hour. Repeat steps 2 through 4 for the second alarm.
- Press the [AL 1.2] button again to exit alarm setting mode and return to normal display. If no buttons are pressed for 10 seconds, the clock will automatically exit.
Note: When an alarm is turned on, a light will appear on the left of the corresponding alarm icon ([ALARM 1 ICON] or [ALARM 2 ICON]).
Section 6: Stop and Reset the Alarm
When an alarm sounds, the corresponding icon ([ALARM 1 ICON] or [ALARM 2 ICON]) will flash. Press the [AL 1.2] button once to stop the alarm. The alarm will reset to go off at the same time on the following day. This will be indicated visibly by the red lights next to the corresponding alarm icons.
Section 7: Snooze Operation
The default snooze duration is five minutes. When an alarm is sounding, press the [SNOOZE] button once to activate snooze mode. The alarm will be silenced and go off again after the set snooze duration. Refer to Section 4, Step 3, to change the snooze duration.
Note: If the second alarm activates while the first alarm is sounding or is in snooze mode, the second alarm will override the first alarm. The first alarm will reset to go off on the following day.
Section 8: Changing Display Brightness
Press the [BRIGHTNESS] button to adjust the display brightness. This can only be done when the unit is not sounding or in snooze mode. Brightness levels: HI, LO, and OFF.
Section 9: Using the USB Charging Port
You can charge a smartphone, speaker, camera, or other device when the clock is plugged into a power outlet. Connect your external device's USB charging cable (not included) to the USB charging port.
Note:
- Charging times will vary.
- USB power output: 1 A maximum current.
- Only charges 1 A devices or devices that are self-regulating.
This is a power-output charging port; it does not provide power to the alarm clock itself.
Section 10: Troubleshooting
If your clock displays an incorrect time or does not function properly, unplug the DC jack to disconnect the AC power. Remove the backup battery (see Section 3) and leave the clock for 5 to 10 minutes. Then, reconnect the adapter to power up the clock again. The clock will be reset to the default settings, and you will need to set it up again.
Section 11: Care for Your Product
- Place your clock on a stable surface, away from direct sunlight, excessive heat, or moisture.
- Protect your furniture when placing the clock on natural wood and lacquered finishes by using a cloth or protective material between it and the furniture.
- Clean the clock with a soft cloth moistened using only mild soap and water. Stronger agents such as benzene, thinner, or similar materials can damage the surface of the unit. Ensure the unit is unplugged before cleaning.
- If the unit is not to be used for a prolonged period (a month or longer), remove the backup battery to prevent possible corrosion. Should the battery compartment become corroded or dirty, clean it thoroughly and replace the battery.

Section 13: Warranty
Marathon Watch Company warrants this item to be free from defects in material and workmanship under normal use for 2 years from the date of purchase from an authorized retailer. This warranty excludes damage from misuse, abuse, or any irregular application. Return the item properly packaged with the original bill of sale. Contact Customer Service at 1-800-822-4329 to obtain the shipping address. If a defect is confirmed, Marathon Watch Company will replace it with the same item or one of similar value at no charge.
