Maintenance Schedule
After the first 30 hours of use:
- Replace the external filter (B) with OEM filter (p/n 580C0268).
- Check the fluid level using the gearbox dipstick (A), top off if necessary.
Weekly:
- Check the fluid level using the gearbox dipstick (A), top off if necessary.
Every 100 hours of use or once per year (whichever occurs first):
- Remove magnetic cap (C) and drain fluid.
- Replace the external filter (B) with OEM filter (p/n 580C0268).
- Clean and reinstall magnetic cap (C).
- Refill with a compatible engine oil listed below until the dipstick (A) measures the appropriate level.
Compatible Fluid Specification Options for Hydrostatic PowerSafe® models:
- SAE 15-40 Engine Oil
- ACEA A3-08/B3-08
- API SL/CF
- API EC I
- VW 500/505.00
Component Identification
The following components are referenced in the maintenance procedures:
- A: Dip Stick
- B: Filter
- C: Magnetic Cap (located on valve body opposite spin-on filter)
