Before Installation
Read this instruction carefully before starting installation. Proper tools will improve the quality of installation and reduce the time required.
If missing parts or any damage is found, please take a picture and contact the manufacturer. Professional installation is highly recommended. Perform periodic checks to ensure all mounting hardware remains secure and tight.
Step 1: Prepare Mounting Positions
Locate (4) mounting positions on each side of the vehicle. Remove factory plugs from these positions and clean the sealant and dirt around them. The running board mounting system attaches brackets to the vehicle's frame, with specific orientations for the front and passenger right side.
Step 2: Attach Brackets
Attach brackets to the vehicle's rocker panel. Secure each bracket with (2) M8 hex bolts, (2) M8 flat washers, and (2) M8 lock washers. Repeat this process to install all brackets. Do not fully tighten them at this stage. The bracket attachment involves positioning it on the rocker panel and securing it with the provided hardware.
Observe the mounting points on the vehicle's underside rocker panel, highlighted for the front and passenger right side. ⚠️ Note: The rear bracket is different to the front and center brackets. The underside view shows specific mounting locations on the vehicle's frame.
Step 3: Install Step Bars
With assistance, lift and attach the step bar to the previously installed brackets. Secure the step bar on the brackets using (8) M8 hex bolts, (8) M8 flat washers, and (8) M8 lock washers. Repeat this process to install the other side step bar. This involves carefully lifting the step bar and aligning it with the brackets for fastening.
Step 4: Final Tightening and Checks
First, tighten the M8 hex bolts on the vehicle to 15 ft. lbs. torque. Next, adjust the step bar to ensure it is level, and then tighten the M8 hex bolts to 15 ft. lbs. torque. After the step bar installation is complete, perform periodic checks to ensure all mounting hardware remains secure and tight.
