Infobit iWall 8K106 HDMI 8K 1x6 Video Wall Controller
User Manual V2.0
1. Introduction
The iWall 8K106 is a newly launched ultra-high-definition video signal processor and videowall controller. It supports full 4:4:4 chromaticity sampling in the RGB color space and features a pure hardware FPGA embedded architecture.
The iWall 8K106 can be configured for multiple videowall modes, including ultra-clear point-to-point layouts such as landscape, portrait, and mosaic arrangements. It proportionally scales images according to screen resolution, ensuring no compression, stretching, deformation, or distortion.
The device can be cascaded to expand the number of display devices for large-scale videowall layouts, making it suitable for applications in exhibition halls, supermarkets, shopping malls, meeting rooms, restaurants, sports bars, and digital signage.
2. Features
- FPGA and embedded architecture for stable 7*24 hours long-term operation and reliable image processing.
- Supports point-to-point low latency: input to output latency is less than 30ms.
- Low power consumption (as low as 40W) and low noise (<40dB).
- Supports custom output resolutions with over 8 million pixels.
- Supports input signals up to 4K@60Hz or 8K@30Hz ultra-high-definition.
- Supports output signals up to 2K ultra-high-definition.
- Built-in FPGA for audio de-embedding and switching, with a 3.5mm audio output port.
- Device output ports are synchronized automatically without any latency.
- A single unit can output up to 6 HDMI HD signals.
- A single unit can input up to 1 HDMI UHD signal.
3. Videowall Modes
Supports landscape and portrait 1*N, M*1, M*N free combinations and equal proportion point-to-point UHD video walls. The following are some example modes:
3.1 Portrait Videowalls
Example configurations for portrait videowalls:
- 1x1 layout: 3240*1920
- Example layouts with higher resolutions: 2160*5760, 2160*7680
- Example layouts with wider aspect ratios: 5400*1920
3.2 Landscape Videowalls
Example configurations for landscape videowalls:
- Example layouts: 7560*1920, 7680*1080
- Example layouts with multiple rows/columns: 5760*2160, 7680*2160
- Example layouts with more rows: 5760*3240
4. Diagrams
Visual representations of system configurations.
4.1 Diagram (Single Unit)
Description: A diagram illustrating a single Infobit iWall 8K106 unit setup. A PC's graphic output (e.g., 6480*1920px) is connected via an HDMI cable to the iWall 8K106. The controller then distributes the signal to multiple displays, which are configured to be rotated 90 degrees by the computer's graphics card to form a videowall.
4.2 Diagram (Multiple Units)
Description: A diagram demonstrating a multi-unit configuration for larger videowalls. A PC outputs a high-resolution signal (e.g., 7680*3240px) via HDMI to multiple Infobit iWall 8K106 units. Each unit processes and outputs a portion of the signal to a set of displays, collectively forming an expansive videowall.
