Note:
- It is recommended to unplug the device if it will not be used for some time. For cars with older batteries, the time should be shorter.

3. Setup Instructions
- Download and install an appropriate app onto your smartphone. Recommended Apps (some may require purchase): Car Scanner ELM OBD2, Torque Lite/Pro, OBD Fusion, DashCommand, EOBD Facile, Dr Prius.
- Plug the adapter into your vehicle's OBD II port. Ensure it fits securely. The red Power LED should illuminate [on-indicator].
- Turn the ignition key to the ON position or start the engine. For Push Button Start vehicles, press the button once or twice without your foot on the brake pedal (refer to your car manual).
- Enable Bluetooth [bluetooth-symbol] on your smartphone and pair with the device named "OBDII". You may need to wait a few seconds for "OBDII" to appear. The PIN is 1234.
- Launch the app and configure any necessary connection settings to establish a connection.

5. FAQs and Troubleshooting
1) Is an app required?
Yes, an OBD2 app is required to operate the adapter. The functionality you can access primarily depends on the app you choose. Apps are typically downloaded from the Google Play Store, and some may require a separate purchase.
2) Does it work with iOS devices? Or Android head units?
The VP11 model does not support iOS due to Apple's limitations. For iOS compatibility, please consider a Bluetooth LE (4.0) model. The VP11 may experience compatibility issues with certain Android head units. A comprehensive list of compatible head units is not available due to market complexity.
3) Could not pair with "OBDII"
Try turning your phone's Bluetooth off and on again, then restart your phone. Once "OBDII" appears as paired, connected, or previously connected, attempt to connect through your app.
4) Can I leave the adapter plugged in all the time?
You can generally leave the adapter plugged in if your car battery is in good condition. However, if your car will be parked for more than one week, it is recommended to remove the adapter to prevent battery drain.
5) "OBDII" is not showing up on my phone's Bluetooth device list.
First, check if the red indicator light on the adapter is illuminated. If not, inspect your vehicle's cigar fuse to ensure it is in good condition. You can also test the adapter on another vehicle to verify functionality.
6) App not connecting to OBD-II adapter.
Ensure that the app is compatible with the adapter, that "OBDII" is successfully paired with your phone, and that you have configured the necessary connection settings within the app.
7) Cannot connect to vehicle/ECU.
Confirm that your vehicle is OBD2 compliant. Ensure the ignition key is in the ON position or the vehicle is started. If issues persist, try connecting to a different vehicle.
8) Can it reset my ABS, airbag, and other non-Check Engine lights?
Most OBD2 apps primarily offer diagnostics for the Check Engine light. To diagnose or reset modules like ABS or airbag, you will need a specialized app designed for those specific systems. This adapter cannot reset oil change or maintenance required lights.
9) Which sensor data can I get?
The available sensor data depends on the parameters defined by the vehicle manufacturer within the OBDII system. Newer vehicles generally provide more data and faster refresh rates. Some parameters, such as transmission temperature, may be manufacturer-specific and require custom PID setup within the app.
10) The adapter does not fit into the recessed area of the OBD port or is hard to plug in and out.
