Rotor Dimensions
This section illustrates the correct brake rotor sizes and adapter requirements for the fork and rear frame. Always tighten screws according to the brake manufacturer's recommendations.
- Fork: Minimum 180mm rotor adapter (Shimano Y8N230000, highlighted in red). Maximum 160mm rotor (Shimano, indicated by green dashed line). SRAM Flat Mount Adapter: 00.5318.018.000.
- Rear: Minimum 140mm rotor (Shimano/SRAM flat mount, direct mount without adapter). Maximum 160mm rotor (Shimano FLATMOUNT R160D/D, +20mm, highlighted in red). SRAM Flat Mount Adapter 160: 00.5318.018.001. Screw length is the same for 140mm and 160mm rotors.
Seatpost Collar
The seatpost collar is a single-piece unit and is only available as a complete part. Its profile includes a non-slip surface to prevent the collar from sliding down the seat tube after seatpost installation. Use carbon paste where indicated.
Torque: 6 Nm [torque wrench] using a T25 Torx [tool].
Cable Installation Guides
Fork Brake Cable Installation
Follow these steps to route the front brake cable:
- Insert the rubber grommet into the hole on the left side of the fork. Mount the lower headset bearing onto the fork. Route the front brake cable through the rubber grommet and the fork leg. The cable should exit from the hole on the fork dropout. Tighten the brake caliper screws to set the cable length.
- Mount the lower headset bearing and lubricate. Secure the brake cable to the fork dropout with tape.
- Insert the fork into the frame and install the upper bearing and headset seal. Then install the compression ring and top cap. The cable will exit on the left side of the top cap.
- (Note: Step 4 in the original document appears to be a duplicate of step 3. It is included here for completeness but may be redundant.) Insert the fork into the frame and install the upper bearing and headset seal. Then install the compression ring and top cap. The cable will exit on the left side of the top cap.
Rear Brake Cable Installation
Follow these steps to route the rear brake cable:
- Insert the rubber grommet into the hole on the left rear downtube. Route the rear brake cable (blue) through the downtube, passing over the bottom bracket. Place a foam protective tube over the rear brake cable inside the frame (the foam cannot reach the head tube area).
- Route the rear brake cable (blue) through the right side of the fork. The cable should exit through the right side of the top cap. After this, it should exit from the right side of the handlebar. (Note: In the UK, the rear brake must pass through the left side of the fork.)
- Install the cable cover on the stem. Adjust the handlebar and tighten the stem and fork clamp screws. Torque: 5 Nm [torque wrench] for stem screws, 4 Nm [torque wrench] for fork clamp.
Combined Handlebar Cable Installation
The combined handlebar cable is installed similarly to a normal stem and handlebar, with the exception of the cable cover. Internally, the cable routing is the same.
Torque: Fork clamp: 4 Nm [torque wrench].
Shimano Di2 Cable Installation
Follow these steps for Shimano Di2 electronic shifting cable routing:
- Mount the rubber holder onto the Di2 battery. Insert the battery into the seat tube with the rubber holder. Ensure the battery holder remains accessible.
- Connect the front derailleur cable to one of the external battery ports. Route the cable through the protective sleeve. Insert the cable with the protective sleeve into the seat tube. Torque: 4 Nm [torque wrench].
- The cable should exit through the hole located under the front derailleur mount. Insert the rubber grommet into the hole. Connect the cable to the front derailleur and install the front derailleur onto the frame (always use the carbon mounting plate). *Tighten the FD screw according to manufacturer's recommendations.
- Connect the rear derailleur cable to the central battery port. Route the cable through the protective sleeve into the seat tube.
- Route the cable through the right rear downtube. The cable should pass over the bottom bracket.
- The cable should exit the right rear downtube through the opening under the rear derailleur hanger. Route the cable through the rear derailleur hanger hole and secure it to the rear derailleur with the plastic clip. Connect the rear derailleur cable to the rear derailleur.

Manufacturer Warranty
By purchasing a new SCOTT bicycle from an authorized SCOTT dealer, SCOTT grants a manufacturer's warranty subject to the following provisions.
Conditions
The manufacturer's warranty is granted only to the first purchaser of a SCOTT bicycle, who purchased it from an authorized SCOTT dealer. The manufacturer's warranty applies only if the bicycle is registered in the name of the first purchaser at www.scott-sports.com within one year of purchase.
Duration
The manufacturer's warranty is granted from the date of purchase for a period of five years on frames and rear triangles. The warranty period is reduced to three years if the SCOTT bicycle is not serviced at least once a year by an authorized SCOTT dealer. Maintenance must be performed in accordance with the maintenance instructions contained in the SCOTT manual and must be confirmed by the stamp and signature of the authorized SCOTT dealer. For frames and rear triangles of Category 5 bicycle models and for rigid forks produced by SCOTT, the duration of the manufacturer's warranty is limited to two years. If a defective component of the SCOTT bicycle is replaced within the scope of the legal or manufacturer's warranty, the duration of the manufacturer's warranty will not be extended. The manufacturer's warranty terminates if the first purchaser transfers ownership of the SCOTT bicycle to a third party.
Claim
The manufacturer's warranty is provided by SCOTT Sports SA, Route du Crochet 11, 1762 Givisiez, Switzerland. The purchaser must inspect the SCOTT bicycle immediately after purchase and promptly inform their authorized SCOTT dealer in writing of any obvious defects. Hidden defects must be reported immediately upon discovery. In the event of a warranty claim, the SCOTT bicycle must be delivered to an authorized SCOTT dealer. The latter will contact SCOTT to remedy the defect. A warranty claim always requires the presentation of the original proof of purchase, as well as proof of maintenance service contained in the SCOTT manual.
SCOTT's Performance in Case of Warranty Claim
In the event of a warranty claim, SCOTT will, at its discretion, repair the defect or replace the defective product with a product of similar quality, for which deviations in color and model are possible. If repair or replacement is not possible, a refund of the purchase price will be made, taking into account previous use. SCOTT reserves the right to assign the task of correcting the defect to third parties.
Limitations
The manufacturer's warranty applies exclusively to frames, rear triangles, and rigid forks of SCOTT bicycles. Bicycle components are excluded from this manufacturer's warranty. The manufacturer's warranty does not apply to normal wear and tear, damage caused by accidents or other excessive force exerted on the SCOTT bicycle, corrosion, improper maintenance, incorrect assembly, and the installation of unsuitable components or accessories, as well as cosmetic defects, such as paint. The manufacturer's warranty does not apply to SCOTT bicycles that have been used in a rental shop.
Miscellaneous
These manufacturer's warranty provisions apply to all SCOTT bicycles from model year 2023 onwards. The buyer's statutory warranty rights and the warranties of component manufacturers (Shimano, SRAM, etc.) remain unaffected by this manufacturer's warranty. The competent court for all disputes relating to this manufacturer's warranty is Fribourg, Switzerland. This manufacturer's warranty is subject to Swiss law, excluding all laws referring to the law of other countries.
