Geek Chef Espresso Machine Quick Start Guide

Retain this instruction for future reference.

First Time or Long Time Not Use the Machine

  1. Make sure to tear off the sealing tape from the bottom of the water tank. (If it has been taken off, please skip this step)

  2. Make sure the steam wand nozzle is clean and not blocked.

  3. Fill water into the water tank, not exceeding the MAX line. Set up the water tank vertically, align the buckles to the hole on the back of the machine, and press it down to be parallel to the top of the machine.

  4. Plug in the power cord and press the power switch to the "on" position. All blue indicator lights will flash as the machine starts heating until the coffee button indicators stay on.

  5. Place a large cup under the steam wand. Rotate the knob to the steam position when the machine is on standby mode.

  6. The Single cup coffee indicator will turn on. Press the Single cup coffee button to make hot water from the steam wand.

  7. Let the water flow out for about 30-60 seconds, then rotate the knob back to the "0" position to stop. This process primes the pump for first use.

  8. Place a cup on the drip tray and rotate the knob to the coffee brewing side.

  9. Press the Single or Double cup coffee button to dispense hot water to clean the filter holder or the coffee cup. After the water stops flowing, rotate the knob to the "0" position.

Froth Milk Alone

  1. At standby mode, press the Steam button. The Steam indicator will flash during preheating. When the indicator stays on, the machine is ready to steam.

  2. Prepare a pitcher with about 100ml of cold milk. Insert the steam wand nozzle into the milk about 0.4-0.8 inches deep. Slowly turn the steam control knob to control the steam volume.

  3. Rotate the knob to the steam position. The steam indicator will turn on, and the machine will start producing steam from the steam wand nozzle.

Note: During milk frothing, if the water level is low, the machine may produce louder noise and less steam. Please refill the water tank promptly.

  1. Move the pitcher in a circular motion from top to bottom while frothing. When the milk has doubled in volume or reached the desired consistency, turn the knob back to the "0" position to stop. Remove the pitcher.

  2. To prevent the steam wand nozzle from becoming blocked and to facilitate cleaning, it is recommended to clean it immediately after frothing milk.

  3. Press and hold the steam wand, then pull out the stainless steel sleeve. Clean the steam nozzle with a damp cloth or sponge.

Make Espresso Alone

  1. Insert the filter into the filter holder. Fill the filter with ground coffee and press it evenly with the tamper. Avoid pressing too firmly.

  2. Install the filter holder into the machine by turning it from the "Unlock" to the "Lock" position. Place a cup on the drip tray.

  3. Rotate the knob to the coffee brewing side.

  4. Once the coffee indicators stop flashing, press the Single cup or Double cup coffee button to begin brewing.

  5. The machine will stop automatically when brewing is complete. Rotate the knob back to the "0" position. Enjoy your espresso.
