Troubleshooting Common Issues
Problem 1: Device Cannot Find "KONNWEI" Bluetooth Network
- Ensure the adapter is powered on (check the front panel button).
- Verify that the OBDII connector is receiving power (should be 12-14V).
- Confirm that the vehicle's ignition is switched on.
- Try turning off the ignition, removing the adapter from the OBD-2 port, reinserting it, and then turning the ignition back on.
- Attempt to search for the Bluetooth network using another device such as a different smartphone, laptop, or tablet.
Problem 2: Adapter Disconnects During Operation
- Ensure that high-power devices are not being charged via the cigarette lighter while the adapter is in use, as this can cause voltage fluctuations.
- Strong voltage surges within the vehicle's electrical system can affect adapter stability. The OBDII connector typically outputs 12-14V.
Problem 3: Adapter Cannot Connect to ECU
- Some vehicle ECUs may require additional initialization codes for proper connection. These codes are often available within the scanner application's database for various car brands.
- Try using alternative scanner applications, as different apps may utilize different communication protocols with the ECU.
- Ensure that only one scanner application is running at a time to avoid conflicts.
- Attempt to reconnect by repeating the connection steps from the beginning (Step 1).
